Holness's influence seems to be growing with each match he plays, hopefully we'll keep him for next season.
Re: Omar Holness - great article
Nice to see him score his first goal for DFC and from the highlights, he was really pleased to get it. Perhaps he will stay for loads more in future?

He was dead pumped up at Boston after the final whistle. Dancing in front of the Darlo fans and then ran along the barrier high fiving us all. Loved it

How many Darlo fans made the trip to Boston, as it was hard to say from the highlights.grimsbyquaker wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 6:56 pmHe was dead pumped up at Boston after the final whistle. Dancing in front of the Darlo fans and then ran along the barrier high fiving us all. Loved it

That's a really good following, considering our form and there was really nothing to play for.

Great to see Holness's passion when we got the winner today. Clearly he is more than up for the fight and hopefully he'll be with us next season.

Really got a good feeling about this lad!

Seems odd to be in "advanced talks" abut a new contract when we don't have a Manager yet?Vodka_Vic wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 5:51 pmAnd now an interview with Bascombe

But he doesn't have a contract does he? You mean you just rate him as having potential?

Re: Omar Holness - great article
This is something that goes on at all clubs but does baffle me - when there is no manager and yet players get offered new deals. Yes they might be good players in eyes of the fans, but will they be the type of player the new manager wants, will they fit into their system - also it limits the amount of changes a new manager can make.

Unless AW is negotiating something then I agree no decisions should be made till new Manager appointed. Football contracts should not be decided only by the Board. The lad could of course just be "bigging" himself up while he treads water?

Then there is always the risk, that some other club could step in and snap him up.

Re: Omar Holness - great article
Bascombe did not play enough to form an opinion on signing him tbh, but Holness did show a lot more and could be worth another look pre season
