Dan Maguire
Rumour going to York
Re: Dan Maguire
As you say only rumour, don't count us out until confirmation of his signing by whoever, it's never a done deal till pen is put to paper.

Re: Dan Maguire
Not getting any closer to signing him , I now think he'll go elsewhere, shame but that's football.

Re: Dan Maguire
He was always going elsewhere considering the amount of money he's been offered at other clubs.

Re: Dan Maguire
It would be nice to see the Maguire and also Jameson situations be concluded fairly shortly, even if we don't get them.
Armstrong mentioned that we have alternative options, however a slight concern is that we miss out on these players the longer we wait for DM & PJ.
It's a long summer I know, I just always prefer to see our business done as early as possible.

Re: Dan Maguire
So if he's not coming here, who's the money on (no pun intended).
Spenny, SS, York, Gateshead, or back to Blyth can't see that one mind.
Pro's and con's, Spenny, SS, York, will all offer a decent wedge, so Spenny low crowds, not sure to start, SS good crowds sure to get promoted but would have to drop a league, York good crowds, full time football if he wants it, a bit more travel.
Darlo still seems the best option, a respectable wage, play with his mates, sure to start, could achieve God like status ,and the best support a team can get

Re: Dan Maguire
I think we should forget about Maguire if York and Spendy want to chuck money at players then we need to walk away, we still are an attractive club to many a player at this level so we should be able to bring in a decent couple of strikers.

Don’t understand why we’d need to walk away. We offer him what we can, and if he chooses elsewhere then we move to the next target. Don’t break a wage structure or risk the club for 1 playerPierremontQuaker03 wrote:I think we should forget about Maguire if York and Spendy want to chuck money at players then we need to walk away, we still are an attractive club to many a player at this level so we should be able to bring in a decent couple of strikers.
