As above, due to their pitch not being ready.

Re: Halifax Friendly Called Off
From reading elsewhere on social media in recent weeks, it seems the FC Halifax have problems. Not good news if the game is called off as it is going to take a lot of work to find a club available to play at short notice

I emailed "the" club to ask about the pitch situation but not heard anything.

I wonder if they'll have Neil Aspin, Ronnie Moore or Mark Bower in place by then.

Can't imagine our pitch is better than theirs. Bit disappointed was looking forward to going down to Halifax for this game.

Our pitch has got grass on it .Theirs hasn’t.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 7:03 pmCan't imagine our pitch is better than theirs. Bit disappointed was looking forward to going down to Halifax for this game.
Council groundsmen to blame apparently.
Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows
Just been reading that Rotherham United refused to play their friendly match at Farsley Celtic tonight because of the dangerous state of the pitch.
Rotherham boss Paul Warne said: "Unfortunately, upon our arrival at Farsley it became clear that the pitch could potentially cause a risk of injury to both sets of players.
"Taking into account the fact that the lads have just come back from Germany it is with a heavy heart, I had to call the game off for the safety of both teams’ players."
One fan said: "There’s a big crater in the 18yd box that’s been filled with sand, grass is way too long as well."
Could be an interesting opener if it's not sorted

"You can see that the club have done some work on the pitch over the summer and I am sure that it will be fit for purpose in a couple of weeks’ time, but unfortunately, tonight, it was not in a suitable state for either side.

They share with Halifax RLFC don't they so if in doubt blame the Rugby Club, sound familiar? Probably doing some much needed maintenance as Rugby Club not due to play their next League game there till 4th August.

Hopefully HT will bring a couple of hundred through and will help the coffers. Let’s all get along and support DFC.

Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows
Halifax will bring about 50 maximum
Remember when they demanded 600 tickets and barely sold 300 for our first game back. LOL

Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows
Definitely Halifax. Kicked off about their allocation of 600 and then only sold half of it.
Craig Liddle is God!!
Re: Halifax Friendly Now at Blackwell Meadows
Does anybody know what the car parking fee is for the Halifax friendly - also heard from a good source last night that the burger van from our early bishop Auckland days is going to be back on site for the coming season hopefully my friend is spot on with his assumption.

OK,must have happened twice as I had a massive sarcastic row with a mate who is a lifelong County fan.darlo_baron wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:54 amDefinitely Halifax. Kicked off about their allocation of 600 and then only sold half of it.
