Re: Season ticket sales
Gateshead were celebrating passing 150 on twitter a day or two ago.... They're in trouble.
Hartlepool passed 2k. Spen were doing dirt cheap tickets this year. Trying to grow the fanbase clearly, but how they make the finances work this year, who knows...

Re: Season ticket sales
Hartlepool have shifted 3,000 season tickets according to their official twitter.
As for us I reckon 800 - 900, we never get to find out the official figure so it's all just guess work when it comes to actual numbers.

Re: Season ticket sales
It's a genuine question, on how season tickets are going in the region, what's your problem, do you think Spennymoor have sold more season tickets than Darlington

Re: Season ticket sales
Sadly Polarbear it's never a genuine question with you, hence why you get negativity. You want to shout about how well Spenny are doing in terms of ST's, I don't blame you in one sense - Brad once again is willing to put his money where his mouth is to try and create an increased fan base. I have seen it work at other clubs, however they have been in much bigger towns. Can't knock him though.
You can't keep having a dig and then cry when people don't want to play nice anymore.

Re: Season ticket sales
"out of curiosity"....I very much doubt it! If you're so intrigued and fascinated by these issues why don't you spend some of your time setting up your own fans forum. You and Spen and your many season ticket holders can communicate away together.

Re: Season ticket sales
I bet you haven't sold 700+. Although who knows at the ridiculous price of £150, maybe you have. Practically being given away.
For everyone else - re the Poolies, 3,000 is an incredible number at £250 or so. My theory on this is that this is all down to that season where they sold 6,000 STs dirt cheap - although the prices have eaked up through the years, those fans have simply got into the habit of buying and renewing STs.
Mikkyx, shouldn't this thread be in Virtual Brewery Field?
Re: Season ticket sales
Rumour was wrong. You've sold 530 bargain basement season tickets and given nearly half as many away for free.
530 x 150 = 80k, then the VAT man gets his piece + capital investment into the non playing side. Best hope them commercial revenues are on point this year lads.

Re: Season ticket sales
The income from season ticket sales will be a lot less than you've stated. The adult tickets were £150 but concessions were £110 and Under-18s only £30. Must be stretching a long way to finance the squad of 22 players (plus a sub keeper still to sign) they have assembled at the PrideofCountyDurham. Brad's bank balance must be taking one helluva hammering from all that and the huge amount spent on the ground and pitch.
Re: Season ticket sales
280 given away in the academy!? Who are they giving them to, their entire family twice removed!?
It could win them some fans who return, but it has to be a significant financial gamble for the owner this year. Gambling on going up?

Re: Season ticket sales
Excellent idea to be honest, builds up a future fan base, especially if they convince parents to pop along. However can only be done if you can fund the club at the same time and especially helps when you are the favourites to win the league.

Re: Season ticket sales
Rough guess and from our own expectations it would be about 50% Adult and 25% each for concession & under U18's.LoidLucan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 2:06 pmThe income from season ticket sales will be a lot less than you've stated. Will work out at about £49k after VAT is removed as a rough estimate. Although lets be honest the money isn't important which is nice place to be in for them.

Re: Season ticket sales
On a positive note I think it's great that we're looking at a ticket for each primary school. Hopefully if they enjoy the experience they'll be encouraged to attend further games.
Re: Season ticket sales
I've certainly no issue with us offering tickets that are accessible to grow our fan base - and arguably doing a load of cheap season tickets is a good way to do it - if you have someone to bail you out that year financially. We don't, so it's not an option.
You can't brag about the numbers when you're basically giving them away though.
