They could give us 75% of the ground and leave one side of the ground for home fans.

Looking at the weather this week I hope the pitch isn’t going to end up waterlogged!

Re: farsley away
Just watched highlights of their last game v Albion Sports which they won 4-0, pitch was in a poor condition it wont suit our passing game, lets hope we can still get off to a good start though
Re: farsley away
See what you mean Rob just had a look at the highlights that's not a football pitch looks more like a field.

Re: farsley away
In fairness to Adam Campbell, I saw him playing for Newcastle a number of years ago and he had a great game, one of the best players on the pitch that day.

Re: farsley away
No segregation at the ground.
"The club bar is open from 12pm and remains open throughout and after the match. There is a large selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic options including hand pulled real ale. Customers are permitted to take their drinks into the ground using one of the plastic glasses supplied."
Oh dear... hopefully a trouble-free day and a good opener for the travelling army to enjoy.

Unfortunately the bus with the usual suspects is apparently setting off at 8.30 and heading into the centre of Leeds where they will no doubt stay until just before kick off then turn up totally inebriated. This combined with a warm day and no segregation is a recipe for disaster, as we have seen in the past. Eventually the FA will hit us with some kind of punishment except it won’t be those that cause any trouble that will suffer. If only Farsley would refuse admission to anyone turning up drunk!!

Re: farsley away
Segregation was in place at Fylde. The sad thing is that lads you can normally reason with become a different person after five hours of drink. Let's hope the day passes peacefully and ends in a win. I dreamt we were 4-0 up at half time!

I hope this isn't in reference to the bus that me and my friends have running as we are setting off around 9am and heading into Leeds itself?dfc4me wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 5:49 pmUnfortunately the bus with the usual suspects is apparently setting off at 8.30 and heading into the centre of Leeds where they will no doubt stay until just before kick off then turn up totally inebriated. Re: farsley away
I hope this is a reference to your busload of friends having a drink, behaving impeccably, supporting the team and upholding our reputation as "the friendly club". I applaud your efforts in organising a bus and I hope all goes well.
Re: farsley away
No reason to assume it would be unless you feel that's how you and your friends behave, which clearly isn't the case.AndyPark wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 6:38 pmI hope this isn't in reference to the bus that me and my friends have running as we are setting off around 9am and heading into Leeds itself?dfc4me wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 5:49 pmUnfortunately the bus with the usual suspects is apparently setting off at 8.30 and heading into the centre of Leeds where they will no doubt stay until just before kick off then turn up totally inebriated. We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Re: farsley away
Coming up from Manc for this one, meeting up with Darlo Real Ale Crew (Fizzy Pop Section) in Leeds then off to Wembley Sunday, expensive do.
Great going into a season knowing we have a good chance of a crack at the league and (whisper it) a cup run.
It may not go well Sat but I always remember an opening day defeat at Buxton where I honestly thought Darlo would get relegated and we all know what happened.
Long season.

I will be satisfied with a draw, the way AA talks could be 4-4

He says he's learnt a lot from last season, and may be a little more disciplined. 3-3.

I think with our defence I'd be surprised if we concede more than one, although it has been known for me to be wrong with my predictions.

Re: farsley away
I am aiming for the 10:58 from Victoria direct to New Pudsey. Station master at my local station tells me it takes the scenic route.
Re: farsley away
Can anyone recommend any pubs near the ground today. Been looking on google maps and the nearest one I can find is the Jug & Barrell. Are there any nearer the ground please?

Re: farsley away
Went to Farsley a couple of years ago for our FA Trophy game and I struggled to find a pub nearby, so went into the club house. But somehow I don't think they are quite geared up for Darlo hoardes today.
Re: farsley away
Ok. Thanks.
Re: farsley away
Certainly is a scenic route, though I think I should have got the earlier one, I think this train is steam powered!Darlo Dodger wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 5:11 amI am aiming for the 10:58 from Victoria direct to New Pudsey. Station master at my local station tells me it takes the scenic route.
