Plucky Salford
Plucky Salford
I see Plucky Salford have signed James Wilson from Man Utd, considered just 3 or 4 years ago to be a potential Premiership player with a big future ahead of him.
At least they are finally recruiting grass roots talent from the Manchester area as they said they were setting out to do when they first became plucky.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Plucky Salford
Gary Neville did an interview the other day which basically said "we are going to spend what we need to get promoted". We are not participating not to get promoted along those lines
I mean he said it was the Salford way but it was almost impossible to hear it without "this is Man United" tone to it.

Wow, just when you think they can't get any pluckier, they go and pull another fairytale story like this out of the bag.

Well, they lost 3-2 in the last minute last night. Around 1,000 Plymouth fans travelled in that weather -a ten hour round trip Brilliant effort.

Re: Plucky Salford
I don't know how all these £4,000 a week players will get into the side when Gary Neville said Salford would essentially be nurturing young local talent who would have a route into the first team. Don't see many scruffy arsed local kids getting their big chance in the Football League as Neville vowed... "giving something back to the local community"... blah blah blah. The spend, spend, spend reality seems somewhat different to the stated vision although what they are doing does appear sustainable given the seemingly limitless resources.

I at least have the chance to educate as many folk as possible north of the border that ‘plucky’ Sal£ford are only where they are thanks to ££££££££

Salford are the pluckiest of all the plucky football teams. Good pluck to them.

I see they win a penalty shoot out, does that mean they've qualified for a Wembley final? All the masses of their fans will boost the crowd at Wembley!!!!

I think I spotted Armstrong junior on the subs bench. Looks like he’s off to Wembley.

Re: Plucky Salford
Portsmouth will fill their end of Wembley, Salford 4K like playoffs? Amount of money spent at Salford believe owners expect a trip to Wembley every year as a minimum.
Re: Plucky Salford
Feels like this is for the terraces?
Salford were relevant to us when we were in their division and challenging for titles together - now threads just make our fan base look green.

I disagree, I realise this isn't Darlo related, however there are about 3 new posts a day on this site, so it's not like the board is flooded with both Darlo and non-Darlo related topics.

Interesting use of the word “their” in relation to the division we both competed inlo36789 wrote:Feels like this is for the terraces?

why - they were the subject of the sentence. ours / theirs / "the same" it's pretty irrelevant, point of language is to communicate meaning and you understood what I meant.Quaker85 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 9:56 amInteresting use of the word “their” in relation to the division we both competed inlo36789 wrote:Feels like this is for the terraces?

Yeah, to be honest I barely ever look at the terraces forum.
A football & non football one would be fine (Spennymoor doyles can still keep away though)

Given his recent TV exposure, would not be surprised if Salford go after Trotman now.
