I notice that the BBC are not up to speed just like usual.

Blyth game on.
Darlington no confidence with pitch, surely it can't be as bad as the Tranmere v Manchester United game

Just a dig at Spennymoor in case any of their trolls are lurking.

Spennymoor pitch was playable, just a jobworth ref, an official who upholds petty rules even at the expense of humanity or common sense.
Tranmere pitch muddy field as an example, with man utd playing on it, sensible ref not a jobsworth

DFC just making the sensible decision. Cant expect to put teams and fans in danger by making them travel in treacherous conditions. But then again, Spenny arent that bothered about fans safety are they? :shh:

Spenny just make fans travel and then call it off. Tin pot outfit.
And polarbear, no the pitch wasn't safe to play on as the dangerous area was right by a fence on the touchline. Had any player collided with the fence due to sliding on the soaked area then the ref would have been liable as he passed the pitch as fit. He was correct to put safety first, unlike Spenny do as we have seen with their attitude towards large numbers of traveling support.

Only games at Blyth & Gateshead still on (as of noon). Kidderminster and Altrincham will not be happy if they get called off or abandoned.

I wonder if Hereford will be as considerate towards us like we have been towards Leamington if the bad weather persists next weekend. That would be one wasted journey that would definitely have me tearing my hair out.

Just been looking at the weather forecast for that, as it's about the only game I can get to and from in a day. Forecast is fine, cloudy & chilly but only a breeze.

the only 2 games who decided game on, are on, looking like the rest of league got it wrong.

I’m sure Spennymoor would have got a game on today. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. How easy to be smug after the event.

Correct, spennymoor training on pitch this afternoon, you don't call game's off if pitch is playable, unless you don't have any faith in your pitch

You do if you take heed of the weather forecast and consult with the League. If on the other hand you are arrogant and stupid you force teams to travel and then call games off at short notice causing a lot of inconvenience to others.

I suppose if you have a rich benefactor you don't have to worry about funding the travelling teams costs when the games called off. Unlike fan owned clubs who don't have that luxury. It's a shame Spennymoor don't have a forum where we could all log on and take the pxxx when we were bored.

polarbear: "Yeah, hi, Luis. I've just noticed that you haven't played a home game for over five years now, so I just wanted to know what the hell you think you're playing at?"
Luis Castro: "Well, er, the region's still really unstable, mate. It wouldn't be safe for us to play there."
polarbear: "But I've seen the pitch - it's playable. That's all that matters, Luis."

I suppose when you don't have any fans that travel, it's hard to imagine the inconvenience of traveling to a game that's called off.
