Darlington v Brackley
Re: Darlington v Brackley
O'Neill is the cutting edge we are lacking. The one consolation was not losing too much ground on our rivals.

Re: Darlington v Brackley
Just been looking at history of Brackley and wiki page says that the ground holds 3500 but they only have 300 seats, surely they will not be allowed in playoffs under the rules we were denied ?

They have played in the playoffs before, including last season so I have a feeling they will be fine on this front.

They have been in playoffs before and allowed so the entry in wiki must be incorrect ?

Yeah must be, can't trust Wiki on any of this detail really.robsraiders wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 7:00 pmThey have been in playoffs before and allowed so the entry in wiki must be incorrect ?
If I remember rightly they have two seated stands, one down the side and a small one behind one of the goals.
Football ground guide advises 507 seats.

Re: Darlington v Brackley
Changed this season they’ve taken the seats out from behind the goal and added two modular seated stands down the opposite side to the club house. They’ve added another modular terrace behind the goal at the cricket pitch end. It’s all very hodge podge but works for them.super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 7:16 pmYeah must be, can't trust Wiki on any of this detail really.robsraiders wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 7:00 pmThey have been in playoffs before and allowed so the entry in wiki must be incorrect ?

Had an end of season feel to it on Saturday. Felt like Brackley had a gear they could go up, but just never did.

Disagree there, we contained them very well and Brackley gave it their best shot.HarryCharltonsCat wrote:Had an end of season feel to it on Saturday. Felt like Brackley had a gear they could go up, but just never did.

Brackley played exactly as they have been playing recently, keeping it tight but drawing lots of games. It showed very clearly that's there's not very much between us and the sides a bit higher in the league. I don't think they had another gear, they have won one of their last six games and we could have, and maybe should have, won on Saturday.

Re: Darlington v Brackley
Should really have scored with the missed headers by Donawa and Reid not forgetting the penalty shout at the end.A couple more good signings and we will have a team that can really challenge next season.Onwards and upwards.
