Playing budget
Playing budget
So.What do we think it’s going to be.According to the BtB pitch the total “makes up around a third”of the playing budget. That would mean somewhere between 350 and 400k .That is one hell of a pile of cash
Over to you Al,fill your boots .
And again,a huge well done to everyone that contributed

Re: Playing budget
I’m guessing but I’d say one third is based on a target of £100k

Martin Gray used to say that 3-400k was the sort of budget you needed to form a challenge.

Re: Playing budget
Lets not get carried away chaps. The extra 30k will give us some wriggle room to bring in reinforcements if needed. Remember Storey Hedley Reid and Connell all were signed to help to cover injuries to key players during last season so it will be good to have some financial headroom to meet unforeseen events.

Re: Playing budget
Old Git - we will go on a cup run so no need to worry yourself about "unforeseen events" and "headroom"

Yes forgot we had a manager who can do cup runs.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 10:51 amOld Git - we will go on a cup run so no need to worry yourself about "unforeseen events" and "headroom"
Re: Playing budget
Chances of a cup run will be significantly increased if the rumours of scrapping all qualifying before Q4 turn out to be true.

Re: Playing budget
There will be a lot of caution about the budget from both boards I’d imagine as who knows when football is back and whether another spike will come along. Also the club say they want to get rid of the usual debt that occurs late Autumn & early winter so I’d imagine £220k to £250max.HarrytheQuaker wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 10:30 amI bet AA could do it with 250kVodka_Vic wrote:Martin Gray used to say that 3-400k was the sort of budget you needed to form a challenge.

Here's what you're talking about, although it is the Daily Fail.
They're talking about NL and NLN clubs only. However, there would be a bit of excluding to do even at that stage. There are 32 ties, or 64 clubs in the 4th QR. Add the 3 leagues together and that makes 68. 4 would need to be excluded.
