We are on the box
Might need a little more info....
The game v Bristol Rovers has been chosen for BBC Sport coverage - will be on iPlayer and the BBC Sport website/app.
It’s also on BT Sport’s digital platforms according to the FA.
1:30pm kick off on Sunday 29th November.

Re: We are on the box
Ah so it's the red button version so was that £12.5k last round? Might be a bit more this round.
Re: We are on the box
On the FA website is just says that:
'The FA live broadcast fee for these fixtures is £37,500 per club.'
Would be a great bonus if thats the case.

Not sure. Last time they specified:Yarblockos wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:19 pmI think that's for the four games chosen to be broadcast on BBC or BT rather than the red button.
'The following fixtures have been chosen for live multi-camera broadcast on BBC and BT Sport, with each club receiving a £32,500 broadcast fee from The FA.
Friday 6 November
Harrogate Town v Skelmersdale United (7.45pm) – BT Sport 1
Saturday 7 November
Tonbridge Angels v Bradford City (12.30pm) – BBC and BT digital platforms
Ipswich Town v Portsmouth (3pm) – BBC and BT digital platforms
FC United of Manchester v Doncaster Rovers (5.30pm) – BBC Two
Sunday 8 November
Maldon & Tiptree v Morecambe (12.45pm) – BBC and BT digital platforms
Hampton & Richmond Borough v Oldham Athletic (12.45pm) – BBC and BT digital platforms
Eastbourne Borough v Blackpool (2.30pm) – BT Sport 1
Monday 9 November
Oxford City v Northampton Town (7.45pm) – BT Sport 1
In addition, the ties listed below have been selected for live single-camera broadcast on BBC digital platforms. The FA's live broadcast fee for these fixtures is £12,500 per club.'
Keeping my fingers crossed for £37.5k each.

Nope 8 games are chosen for £37.5k to each team. So we will get the £37.5k, confirmed.Yarblockos wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:19 pmI think that's for the four games chosen to be broadcast on BBC or BT rather than the red button.
Re: We are on the box
Does the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. To get there on the day would mean a ridiculously early start, so will we now be able to claim hotel bill as part of our travel expenses from the host club rather than fund it ourselves as at Swindon?

Good point. Would need to read the FA rules on that one.Alfie wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:26 pmDoes the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. Although this will make the tie a loss maker as no steaming receipts, however any loss is halved between the clubs.

Will we loose income if it’s not streamed is not the TV income a higher amount?

TV income is likely higher and guaranteed. It’s one or the other sadly.

Re: We are on the box
Yes we can now get overnight paid for it seems, however I have a feeling that comes from gate receipts, so we would still pay half as we will have no gate receipts.Alfie wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:26 pmDoes the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. Unless the overnight comes from the FA, which it could do but the rule isn’t 100% clear.
Re: We are on the box
Another £63,000 in the bank for the club if we win the tie, not to be sniffed at. I reckon a one-off away game 50/50 would be a money-spinner too if it can be done.
Re: We are on the box
Huge money for the club but not as much as it would be if crowds were allowed in obviously, as we would be pocketing this money plus half of the crowd. Bristol is a cracking weekend too
Honestly feel we are a far more compelling tie than Tranmere - Brackley as well, so a little bit aggrieved we aren’t on BBC Two.
(Christ this post makes me sound miserable, when obviously I’m delighted at both our progress and the digital button)

Think it comes from the home club effectively off their gate receipts. I assume that as it says that we actually have to agree it with the home club. Only where agreement can't be made do we have to apply to the FA.super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:42 pmYes we can now get overnight paid for it seems, however I have a feeling that comes from gate receipts, so we would still pay half as we will have no gate receipts.Alfie wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:26 pmDoes the 13.30 kick off change the situation on overnight hotel costs. With it being televised free there won't even be streaming revenues but I guess long and short of it we wont be out of pocket when it comes to travel.
It is bizarre that in current situation in the third round if you got a big club home or away streaming revenues could exceed the free to air televised games income.

The official website says 32.5k.
NE Sports News says 37.5k. Who is right?

Only to the tin foil hat wearing brigade. It's 16 years since he left the FA. Do you think he still wields that much influence?Mister e wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:49 pmTranmere rovers are owned by former FA chief executive officer mark palios speaks volumes really doesn't it.H1987 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 6:01 pmHuge money for the club but not as much as it would be if crowds were allowed in obviously, as we would be pocketing this money plus half of the crowd. Re: We are on the box
Tranmere (big club well known recently relegated and focussed on sorting out league form) v Brackley (small club not as well know but actually very competitive at their level)
It has 'shock' potential and the vast majority of population won't appreciate the reasonably good budget Brackley have for this level. See Salford "against all odds".

We are on the box
Why would a former FA chief exec from 16 years ago have any sort of influence over the BBC’s selections?Mister e wrote:Tranmere rovers are owned by former FA chief executive officer mark palios speaks volumes really doesn't it.H1987 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 6:01 pmHuge money for the club but not as much as it would be if crowds were allowed in obviously, as we would be pocketing this money plus half of the crowd.
