Earlier on today news started filtering out of the club that all staff had been laid off by the administrators and the doors were shut at the Arena.
It appeared that Brackenbury Clark and Co had spat the dummy out after Colin Todd last week blew the whistle on the financially attractive home friendly against Middlesbrough. All money from the matches are going to the administrators to keep the club running until the deal to bring Raj Singh in is completed. But Raj has explained to The Northern Echo that a misunderstanding between himself and the administrator has lead to the confusion and it will be business as usual tomorrow.
Mr Singh said: “I’ve held lengthy discussions with them this afternoon, together with my advisors, and I’m happy that the issue is now resolved. I’m expecting the club’s staff to be back at the Arena as normal tomorrow.
“The administration process is back on track, and we should complete the whole process by early next week at the latest.
“The CVA has successfully completed its process with no appeals, and the league situation is 70% done, which means we’re almost there.
“As far as team is concerned, nothing has changed, they’re preparing for the start of the season as normal."
It is yet another episode which could and should have been avoided if we had a competent administrator at the club. But this company are a joke and the sooner they are gone from our club the better.
