TinShedDarloFan - 5th September 2009 09:07:55

Cant see why it owuld be better at home, only 4000 turned up to the carling cup game.

Dont the gate receipts get split for cup games

I hope so - we'll make a litle money out of them. Probably get our share of a 5,000 plus crowd (hopefully) and we won't have to go throught he expenses at the Arena, lights, attendants, staff, Group 4 Security to protect the expensive pies! lol.

Just hope we don't get totaly outclassed and thumped 5-0!

Darlo_Pete - 5th September 2009 09:26:39

Great draw for us, as we're very unlikely to win it. Better to make some decent money and concentrate on winning the FA Cup!!! I believe the money is split 50/50, so should be a nice little earner. The questions to be asked are, when will the game be and how many do you think we'll take down?

Ned_Flanders - 5th September 2009 09:32:18

What a fantastic draw !!! I am definately going to this one , i know loads of people who hate Leeds and no doubt they will chip in for the mini-bus .

PJPoolie - 5th September 2009 10:02:26

What exactly is 'fantastic' about that draw? Unless you have developed a fetish for near empty football stadia, which would be understandable.....

MSG Quaker - 5th September 2009 10:18:38

I am sure all cup games are 50/50 which is a bonus as I am sure RS stated he has budgeted to go no further than the first round of all cups so is a nice little earner!

micra3 - 5th September 2009 10:25:05

The match will ve played the week commencing 5th October !!

I can get there

BishopQuaker - 5th September 2009 10:48:45

SOLD!

It'll only take me an hour to get to Leeds from Manc although I'm not sure how to get to Elland Road from there!

If anyone is going by train, I'm sure we can taxi it to the ground or something.
Any ideas how to get there?

Who did your lot get drawn against ?

Oh and whilst i am on , even if i had to justify myself to a choker ( which i dont ) , its a fantastic draw for the simple fact i will be going on an " jolly boys outing " with some dear old friends . The crowd is irrelevant because we will have a LAUGH and enjoy the night !!! Is that ok with you choker ?

Darlo_H - 5th September 2009 11:10:10

Shaping up to be a class day out, Newcastle/Leeds on the train is easy done too, great draw! :D

He probaly budgeted for more people coming through the gate than are. Still scary until more start attending.

DARLO360 - 5th September 2009 12:46:54

Leeds normally get around 9-11 thousand for cup matches, my friend is a huge Leeds supporter and he always fills me in on stuff ;)

TeessideQuaker - 5th September 2009 16:00:36

Mark Viduka will be happy. A trip to his former club....

mikkyx - 5th September 2009 16:02:51

And for those worrying, yes, our livematch ticker can run into double figures.

they run football special buses from the station to elland road on match days

Darlo_Pete - 6th September 2009 09:43:53

The way things are going, they'll only need a taxi for our fans!!

cwisstoffhur - 6th September 2009 10:16:36

nahhhh im sure the memories people have of the previous trip to elland road and people jumping on the bandwagon coz its leeds away will result in darlo fans turning out in force, i'll be taking a fair few mates with me from uni, we've always been meaning to go to elland road and we finally have an excuse to go now

Darlo_Whites - 6th September 2009 18:28:21

Good draw, minibus going from Frankies (Leeds), but as one of your lads pointed out "i hope we dont take more than our home crowd to Leeds".

Attendance will be around 12,000

Santino - 6th September 2009 20:27:43

We've got nothing to lose. Anything less than a hiding isn't acceptable for a club like Leeds playing at home.
