souvenir mag and dvd!

Darlington have produced a must-have souvenir magazine to celebrate their historic FA Trophy success.

‘Winners!’ is a 48-page, full-colour, glossy publication which includes 180 brilliant pictures illustrating the day and the build-up to Wembley.

Darlo are also producing an official DVD, while they’re planning to have a range of special merchandise made up in due course.

The souvenir magazine, priced £3, will be available at the civic reception in the market square tomorrow (Wednesday), and from the club from Thursday.

Managing director Graham Fordy said: “We appreciate everyone wants momentos and souvenirs from what was a magnificent day for the club, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure there’ll be a range of stock for people to remember the day by.

“The ‘Winners!’ magazine is a stunning publication which includes dozens of fans pictures featuring literally hundreds of supporters, while a range of action pictures from various angles provides stunning coverage of Chris Senior’s goal and subsequent celebrations.

“It really is a must-have for all our fans!”

Local photographer Paul Gaythorpe was working for the club on the day and has provided a series of stunning images, including exclusive post-match shots from the Quakers dressing room.

Well-known Darlo fan Les Hodge has also shared his pictures of an historic day with the club, to be included in the magazine, along with Ted Blair, another Quakers fan.
There are exclusive columns from chairman Raj Singh, manager Mark Cooper and captain Ian Miller, while there’s also a number of behind-the-scenes material from within the camp.

Meanwhile, Darlington are now in the process of producing an official DVD.

Quakers commissioned a TV crew to follow Cooper and his players during their London trip, and they interviewed the Darlo boss, his assistant Richard Dryden, skipper Ian Miller and several players before, during and after the big day.

The DVD will also include exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage, a post-match interview with Mr Singh, all the action and post-match celebrations, both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

The club will announce further details – including availability and price – as soon as possible.

Excellent news. Sounds like a decent bit of effort is going into it.

Looking forward to it.

Fantastic news!

Well done to the club

Be great if they could use Ray & Smudger's commentary on it - all of it was spot on, not just the goal. Touchline commentary was great too - gave a great insight into what the managers were saying down on the bench.

Great news :)

I hope they add the goals from the earlier rounds (if they can get them) and slightly extended highlights of the Gateshead games. Maybe i am asking to much!

Be good if they can put some footage of the excellent pre-match atmosphere in the Green Man in there too, seeing as you missed out on that because you were being a nancy.

I think they should use footage from The Green Man. It was a good atmosphere - just couldn't get served that's all!

"couldn't"

I don't know how we all got pissed up in there!

Spyman - 10th May 2011 17:53:56

We managed 4 or 5 rounds in there before the match, leaving at about 2:15. Wouldn't have wanted any more than that anyway.

The Love Slug - 10th May 2011 18:32:00

I think they have a 'don't serve the daft c***' policy in there that they were sticking to religiously on Saturday. I managed to get pissed up in there, shame you never....

Our group managed more than a few in the Green man before the game. :D

I hope it's possible to order this with the DVD and have it posted out.

Otherwise I'll have to get someone to take a trip to Darlo!
