Colin Todd has brought in some experience for between the sticks by signing 36 year old shot stopper Russell Hoult from Notts County.  He joins on an initial one month loan deal which could be extended if things go well.

Todd's current first choice keeper David Knight has not had the best of starts and the gaffer has felt the need to bring somebody in to try and plug the flood of goals we have conceeded so far this season. "I've had a look at the goalkeeping position because of the position we are in" Todd told the Official Website.

"If David (knight) was honest, and I know he is, then he will know he hasn't done as well as he should have done.  It's been a diificult baptism for the lad but I think the time is right for him to step back and take a breather, and for me to just take him away from the pressure for a while."

Hoult was County's number one choice last season but has fallen off that spot since The Magpies brought in Kasper Schmeical from Manchester City.

"He brings alot of experience and he will hopefully come and do the business for us" said Todd.  Let's hope he doesn't lose any mobile phones during his stay here!

Todd has also brought in Jamie Devitt on loan from Hull City.
