raffle raises cash

Geoff Thompson worked his bloody arse off on Saturday running a raffle to raise cash fo DUFF.  Geoff, a very passionate yorkshireman, was zooming around the stadium selling his raffle tickets, with the winner receiving a framed photograph of the scene when Chris Senior scored the winner at Wembley.  Underneath it is signed by all the Darlington squad.

"Big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket on saturday, I asked Mary Bowes of the supporters club to draw the winning ticket and it was ORANGE 344."

"The guy who won it would not accept it and gave it back, so I decided to start an auction for it in the RG and the winning bid was £ 210.00."

"I would also like to thank a friends business partner and Sunderland supporter who sent me an envelope that read on the front, from Gary,Aimee,Paul and Aurthur, good luck Darlo, it could have been us, and inside was £90.00,fantastic gesture."

"The total raised was £ 572.00 which is going into Scotts paypal account, and with further £ 210.00 next week for the picture."

"I would also like to thank Chris for doing the matchball sponsorship ,I know it was short notice but thanks."

"I hoping to run an raffle next week for signed picture of the FA Trophy winners,I will try and get a picture of it on the site during the week, if my daughters show me how."

"Thanks everybody

Geoff"
