Apart from standing our ground against incompetence there's the significant sum of £2000 at stake.

Re: Stick yer ESL up yer ass

Strange to think so many premier league fans are now shouting about fan ownership. I rarely get to Anfield these days although I do enjoy watching a game now and then last time we ended up in a "tourist section" frustrated at the behaviour of those around us. Such a contrast with a 26,000 swaying ko...

Re: Great piece on Two ex Darlo players

Old Git when you're going at it with Gramps it becomes tedious but at least most of the time he argues intelligently and has a well thought through view. I'm not sure why the patronising behaviour but if King Kenny bought these lads I'm sure it was because he saw their potential and not to do Hodgy ...

I found a pm I hadn't noticed from March at 7.45. There were 202 guests looking at the site. I don't always log in so maybe it's livelier than it appears even in this quiet time.

Re: It is no wonder this site is

Whilst I agree that some threads become tedious the vast majority of the board posts are decent and good humoured. It's quite normal for things to slow down in the close season and there's very little to discuss. It feels quite reassuring not to be in crisis as we have been so often in the past. I l...

"Ours" film about fan owned clubs on BT

What a great watch! A really interesting insight into a variety of fan owned clubs but unfortunately didn't include ours. Made me reflect on our journey to hell and back and proud to have been part of helping to build us to where we are now. Fan engagement is a common theme and feeling a part of som...

Re: Poolies Feeling The Pinch

It will be interesting to see if the "shenanigans" are looked into/subject of an independent review
or will they just be brushed under the carpet? Only time will tell. Feels like they couldn't organise a drinking session in a beer making facility so I'm not holding my breath!

Re: Darlington V Hornchurch Trophy Quarter Final

I remember my lad being unimpressed with Campbell watching him at Altrincham then he popped up with a superb 94th minute equaliser. 97's figures are impressive and if all our strikers scored almost one in two we'd be well up the table. He always gives 100% and helps out all over the pitch. I think h...

Re: York City

Whilst I love(d) those old school grounds we've definitely seen improvements in facilities! I have no fond memories of the toilets at the back of the Anfield Kop, behind the Kippax or Shrewsbury's away end. Tranmere rebuilt three sides of the ground and kept a wonderful main stand and stayed right i...

Re: Those penalties

That's spooky....I was only thinking of that Rochdale game earlier today! Broke down on the way, my eldest got the car home via AA, we all hitched to the ground in two cars then after the despair of losing spent hours getting home by walking, two buses and a train.

Re: That penalty

There's always different opinions after incidents and even greater debate with slow motion replay and frozen shots. Just look at the debate around VAR and still opinions differ. I think at our level we expect too much from referees sometimes and think they should have eyes in the back of their heads...

Re: DFC Voted for League to be Null & Void

Four of the NLN games are off because the teams are in the trophy aren't they? I'm sure our board have the interests of the club at heart and will make the right decision about fulfilling league fixtures. I suppose there's a balance between taking us into financial ruin and playing on until the vote...

When I said predominantly I was talking more about the number of kits rather than the length of time each incarnation was worn! I'm currently catching some of Saints v Shrews and their rather nifty sash replacing the usual stripes.

Re: Home Kit Vote

Without seeing a full breakdown of the figures I'm not sure that 1800 isn't voting across all the shirt votes and not just the final? I suppose half of the eligible voters not voting perhaps indicates some of us have other priorities at the moment. If we're running away with the league I don't care ...

Re: Home Kit Vote

I've been busy selling my loft contents in eBay whilst the debate has filled five pages. I think it's quite something that the fans get to vote for the shirt design and I feel an open vote may have been abused. Citeh and Palace looked quite fetching in a sash style shirt and I'm not sure the history...

For a fiver I didn't expect Sky style coverage and apart from the poor camera angle, part of the pitch hidden behind the tunnel mesh, some celluloid terminator type moments, no commentary (and I can't do the darlo fans radio as it's miles out) it's been okay! Made me realise how very professional Qu...

Re: Shorter games ?

Don't agree, there have always been technically gifted players but they are, I'm sure fitter now. Some of us will remember the dreadful surfaces they played on, so energy draining and only one substitute. Gerry Byrne played the 65 cup final with a broken collar bone. Real tough players abounded and t...
