Re: Marske away in the Cup (if we beat Chester)

Un/Fortunately we play on a bobbly pitch with long grass so would be well used to their surface and Taylor now capable of dealing with long balls given Cooper, Storey, Smith & Griffiths working better in front of him. Yes, would be a great day out & crowd but I can't see us getting passed Chester un...

Re: Darlington V Chester

Almost more important was the 50/50 prize that was nearly £900 Great effort by the Fans! Yes, but also by our IT lads who have enabled away fans to buy into the draw over the Net. Previously it was physically limited by attending the match to buy off our lovely volunteers. Sometimes I missed buying...

Re: Brackley away 14/9/21

Put the goals on our youtube channel from the footage they sent. No sound unfortunately and somewhat compressed. I'd of gone but they weren't allowing us to use their gantry so figured it would be better saving Flexi time etc for a midweek game where I can film from. 352 don't make much sound, was ...

Good workout as you say. Now for the draw for the next round!

Re: Brackley away 14/9/21

Brackley is a temptingly near ground for exiles who live in London, so whilst some diehards made the long trek South, a few exiles came North.great result for those lucky enough to witness it and all those who tuned into the Chipmunks commentary!

At least it is away, as looking at the weather forecast for Blackwell Meadows, could have been in jeopardy. Will be a massive test for the team and any points would be a good result.

Jake Cooper - hope he is more like Terry Cooper than Tommy Cooper. Let us give the lad a chance
(Young 'uns won't get these references - tough, Google them)
Just like that

Erico wanted to shop window himself, and it suited us for a time. He was never going to stay as some lads like Thomo. Good to see he started & did 90mns with Grimsby v Barnet.

Re: Darlo v Bradford PA

Saltmer put on a show today which was as good as 2 fingers to us for letting him go. Adam N similarly, until his shameful play-acting after clashing with Charman. Nice to see Beeden getting his chance, even though we had already lost the game in the 1st half. Also good to see Nelson getting some pla...

A cunning plan won't help. Baldric isn't tall enough for a CB
 Perhaps one of the dustbins used in training may be enough, a wheelie bin would be more mobile of course.

Either way, come on you Quakers & stuff BPA!

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Charman hasn't had playing time with Cassidy to form much of an understanding & partnership. It looked like a bad tackle near touchline & clattered his ankle / Achilles. He gave it a couple of minutes but then sensibly came off to get proper treatment. AA forced into some changes, but Purver gave us...

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Took us 75mns to start playing balls along the ground (which looked in great nick) but before then too many long balls. TBF Cassidy did get a head on quite a few without linking up to create chances, but generally we just gave away possession. Hope gave their winger far too much space, but Rhead jus...

A good appointment, a strong academy particularly if we move up the leagues is good for players and something the club can make money out of. Does Stephen live locally?
And possibly better links to Sunderland AFC for a loanee or two in future?

Time to move back to The Arena, at least you can get a pint anytime, stay dry and have a good view of the game. Also increased hospitality revenue available to peruse.
