Re: Darlington V Chester

Unfortunately the referee was as usual for him centre of attention, he always takes the pee when he referee, s at blackwell, it's like Darlington team are his whipping boys, decisions absolutely unfathomable, off sides that weren't goal disallowed that appeared onside, free kicks that were against ...

Re: Jack Lambert and Omar Sanyang

I think that's general agreement then, I'm also happy with Lambert and thought he had some ability last time. I'm surprised to see he had dropped so low in the pyramid, presumably, he just hasn't played at all for a year or so, given I'd assume Hebburn played even less than we did last season. Big c...

Re: Blyth v Darlo

Nice to come back, and I would've taken a point at kick-off. Still a bit worrying we conceded two in quick succession but it's some small progress.

Re: Darlo v Bradford PA

Agreed, my personal expectation was a playoff push, not lower midtable. This isn't good enough. We haven't replaced the experienced heads at the back, and the whole backline looks fit for a lower level. To add insult to injury, some of the lads we have let go are looking good elsewhere at this level...

Re: Curzon 31.08

How was it? I didn't even get the chance to listen today. Two concerning results to begin the season though. The defence is clearly a problem and i'd imagine we are aiming for more than midtable mediocrity this year - but those results imply that or worse.

Re: Hard to Believe..........

I'm sure all fans would really like them to resume, but I really don't see it in the immediate future unless Pools drop down a level again. I can see us in the National League playing at Blackwell, but beyond that, it's simply hard to envisage us in the Football League, as we simply won't have the k...

Re: Match POSTPONED NO JOKE

Not a fan of Colin at all, but he's pretty much spot on there. We can't make them get their jabs, but if we can't convince them because it's the right thing to do, then perhaps they might be convinced by being told it's going to massively disrupt their careers might help. I get the sense that there...

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

:) I’d imagine the cost of installing such a terrace would be offset by promotion anyway, as it would definitely bolster attendances being in the league above. Obviously there would be a boost from a promotion campaign from this division, but going into a division with a lot of southern teams and pr...

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

It sounds like DJ has explored all the options, and we're left with stay at BM as we are, or try and get our own stadium built to enable revenues to grow. If DJ think there's a real opportunity to get the latter done, then I'm happy to trust him on that. There's nothing inherently wrong with stayin...

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

All really interesting, although I am somewhat troubled by who would be building this stadium and what they really get out of it? I wouldn't trust dodgy Houchen as far as I could throw him. All that aside... I'm curious what land he is looking at. There's not a lot of spare land going in Darlington...

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

I totally agree, I'm just confused about what the 'commercial side' entails. Does that extend to ticket prices for example? What is the commercial outcome outwith the football club that would make this an appealing thing for someone with presumably no connection to the club to do? I'd assume we'd be...

Tbh 'daft c***' is an entirely common northeast (particularly Darlo / Teesside) insult.

1,700 I reckon.

Plenty not double jabbed yet remember, but for those who are, outdoors and all... I think it's worth the relatively low risk. Can't wait, personally (although I can't make next Saturday, I'll be up soon). UTQ.

Re: Attendance

Shildon lad has an “I’m alright Jack” attitude. But we’re a club. We need to consider all fans, young and old. We should stick together. For instance if I saw an elderly Darlo fan getting roughed up after a match I would attempt to do something about it. Not just walk off. Completely different scen...

I'm sorry about your dad, but why are you a special case when hundreds of thousands have lost loved ones in the past 18 months and been unable to grieve? Why are you entitled to? Furthermore, the rules on this have already changed. You are no longer restricted to six, and it's about how many a venu...

Just wondered if anyone knows who was at the 1st pre season training, only one I recognised was Ty O’Neill which would be quite delectable if we somehow got him in. Also for a bit of fun I’m gonna guess that the following are on trial/in talks to sign (I am fully aware that 95% are most likely wron...

Wilson kneeshaw is better than some are saying, I personally think he would be a good signing, He had a serious injury and he has worked hard to get back to fitness, so it's a yes from me, He can prove doubters, Kneeshaw isn’t on trial. He can't have played in over two years... maybe he's...

I can't wait until everything is back to normal, but watching the entitled demand perfect normality from July is starting to irritate me. It did feel a bit more enclosed and closer to the field. I do think it helped we were winning all the time there as well though.
