Re: Darlo’s worst XI

How Stevie Tupling hasn’t got a mention here is beyond me. Great heart but he used to regularly fall over the ball…

Re: Chester Away

We were absolutely mugged today. Controlled the game from minute 1 to minute 86 and snuffed out all they had to offer. They were out of ideas and lumped it forward and got lucky twice in the dying minutes. Absolute travesty of a score.

Re: Best Darlo Fan Owned XI - YOURCLUB

It does though doesn’t it old got? There is no enthusiasm, gushing or otherwise, and in fact the exact opposite of enthusiasm. Not even apathy, rather a direct sweeping generalisation because something simple has offended your sensitivities. There’s no need for you to respond to this, take your forw...

Re: Chester game....

Was anyone there for the 4-4 a few years ago? I think Greg Blundell made his debut for them? Sodje scored a hat trick, we were 4-2 up with 0.653 seconds to play and managed to stuff it up.

Team photo competition

I picked up an old Darlo team photo from an antique shop in Rhos on Sea today for a quid. The team is: Furphy, Henderson, Turner, Bulch, Watson, Bell, Fletcher, McGrath, Carr, Milner & Morton.

The first person to name the year the photo was taken can have it.

Alan Walsh

Trivial trivia for a Sunday night and many may know this already (many more will be massively disinterested) but I was today years old when I found out that Darlo legend Alan Walsh’s daughter is married to actual Frasier.

Just back from the match god it were great to visit a ground with a great atmosphere both sets of fans singing[emoji106]As for the game best 0-0 game you will see at our level, York should of been leading at HT but it were not for Bartlett couple of great saves, but 2nd half we came in to it and we...

Re: Best Striker For Darlington

I liked watching Carl Airey & Gary Macdonald in partnership in the mid 80s and Alan Walsh was sublime before that. The strange thing about David Currie was that the season before he turned it on, he was appallingly poor - ducking out of challenges and not contesting headers. I don't think I've ever ...

Colwyn Bay away - for travelling fans

I've been exiled in Colwyn Bay for the last 7 years and I'm really looking forward to going to the game on Saturday with a few friends. I thought I'd give travelling fans a brief bit of info. The ground is on Lanelian Road which is actually in Old Colwyn about 2 miles from Colwyn Bay and there is a ...

It worked quite well for Alex Ferguson's Class of 92 didn't it?

You're missing a bit before that too. It's all hypothetical from start to finish. It's not going to happen - just a bit of Friday time wasting really. No need for a reasoned thesis.

Option 1 A 33 year old Andy Collett Option 2 A 33 year old Craig Liddle Option 3 A 33 year old Marco Gabiadini I'm not sure I understand the question. Andy Collet had retired from playing by the age of 33. Craig Liddle retired when he was 33 having spent a lot of time out injured. Marco Gabbiadini ...

Option 2 Once you've established yourself in the Premiership and europe with crowds of 20000 then I dont think Mr Kuwaiti pulling out would cause the spiral you suggest it would, theres so much money at that level that Mr Abu Dhabi will be along soon enough to pick up the pieces, either that or Mik...

Option 1 A 10 year steady rise through the divisions under the current ownership model, culminating in consolidation in League 2. The club remaining financially viable with the odd player going on to bigger and better things and the club playing in front of 3000-5000 people in the town. Or Option 2 ...
