Chorley V Darlington

First away game of the season, should go there with a bit of confidence, after Saturdays match, the cobwebs have definitely been dusted off.

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

Looking forward to seeing Hazels goal on the highlights, I was in a really good position to see it, superb composure and execution, that for me is the sign of what a good striker we have.👍

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

To be fair we definitely play better against 10 men until that point, we weren’t second best but close to it. I’m still not sure AA knows how to play this excellent squad, I don’t want to sound negative but first half a bit of hoof ball seemed to be our plan. Second half different story, we were on ...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

I’d like to see us give 4-4-2 a chance as I think Beck and Hazel have all the attributes to be a lethal partnership. Also a midfield of Moke, Rose/Purver doesn’t give you much going forward so you need to compensate higher up the pitch. Felix in from the start, might seem a gamble but he’s had a fu...

Re: Darlington V Gloucester

This is it, the waiting’s over, all I want from the team is total commitment, start the game on the front foot and try their best to secure a win, that’s it.

Darlington V Gloucester

Really looking forward to the start of the season. The small squad means the starting 11 will be relatively easy to pick, even more so if we get some injuries. More difficult to choose will be our style of play, 442, a diamond behind the front two, AA was alluding to how we played better with the di...

We definitely reinforcements.

Any reason why Rose has missed so much of Pre-Season, that’s a worry? He’s a huge player.
To be fair I’ve missed most of this preseason, but I’m definitely ready for next Saturday 👍😀

I agree Rose should be in our starting 11, my only worry is that (I might be wrong) has not featured in any preseason games.

As an aside their right winger Johnston was absolute dynamite . Or he looked it tonight .
Agree with that, Hedley couldn’t live with him, he’s from Bishop I think , definitely one to watch, might be cheap as well

Re: Guiseley V Darlo

We were lucky Moke wasn’t sent off, straight red , no question, crazy reaction to a challenge, ref let it go after talking to both players. It would not of been a good start to the season with him not in the starting line up.

Re: Extra funding . Thought

I think it’s great idea, obviously it would depend on how the club viewed it. You would have to have some target in mind, say 30k although I have no idea what that would buy. Also it would depend on where we were in the league, if were fighting for a top slot then it would probably do well, if we we...

No
Spenny away on 27th August.

Still sticking with my personal boycott of going to Spenny away. Fence gate will always be a low point for me and the way Spenny conducted themselves after the incident.
