Re: Jack Lambert and Omar Sanyang

Good to see AA is still adding to the squad which will hopefully give us more strength in depth. Certainly don’t think we are missing Campbell and I am at a loss as to why some think he hasn’t been adequately replaced. For me Charman Cassidy and Nelson are the best strikers we have had at the club ...

Re: Jack Lambert and Omar Sanyang

I was pretty impressed last time Lambert was here, so pleased with him coming in. He's got talent, so lets hope he can kick on. As Armstrong says, he could be a bit of a Campbell replacement in the squad, which we haven't really had so far. No idea about Sanyang, but good luck to him!

Re: Brackley away 14/9/21

An unexpected result, but a very welcome one. Hopefully a corner has been turned in the last game and a half - maybe its fitness after our covid pre-season break, or the signing of Cooper giving a more stable backline, or just the players getting used to each other. Whatever it is, if we can keep th...

Are we after ex-football League central defender Dan Rowe of Whitby? He's from Middlesbrough.
Former youth teamer, not the first Whitby CB we have enquired about if that is the case
Jonny Burn...?

Yep - next to no challenge of the points he made, and looks more like a PR piece than a hard hitting piece of journalism.

Poor, but not unexpected.

Re: New signings?

Now that the transfer window is closed can we expect some would-be full timers who didn't get fixed up to be looking for part time employment? Potentially, although clubs are still able to sign and register un-attached players outside of the transfer window, they are just not allows to transfer pla...

Re: Darlington V Alfreton

Refreshingly similar to pre-covid times. Couldn’t cope with Rhead, struggled to break down the opposition, poor refereeing. It’s good to be back….

Hopefully the comeback is more indicative of the season rather than the first half which was so poor

Re: New signings

Was not expecting that when DJ said don’t worry fans the squad isn’t finished yet. Exactly what we need, two more young inexperienced and untested kids at this level! What on Earth are they doing. Do you want them to sign players who dont want to come here? We needed a CB before tomorrow, we've sig...

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

Campbell and Sousa will be tough to replace. I feel we've brought in players who potentially could be as good, but there's a some real unknowns in that. If Nelson can get fit and rediscover his form, and if Mondal can find that form he had at Forest Green to begin with then we probably will be very ...

Re: Andrew Nelson signs

Very happy with that - absolutely worth the gamble.

Pretty decent selection of attackers now. Potentially one dominant CB away from a very good starting XI (easier said than done of course - but lets hope there's movement on this as the transfer window gets closer to closing for pro clubs)

has anything else been said/reviewed about the expensive food prices from the new caterers?
Yes they'll review them and benchmark them. And also that unlike the previous arrangement, DFC makes something from the food provision now.

Re: Reminder Fans Forum tonight

:) I’d imagine the cost of installing such a terrace would be offset by promotion anyway, as it would definitely bolster attendances being in the league above. Obviously there would be a boost from a promotion campaign from this division, but going into a division with a lot of southern teams and p...

It sounds like DJ has explored all the options, and we're left with stay at BM as we are, or try and get our own stadium built to enable revenues to grow. If DJ think there's a real opportunity to get the latter done, then I'm happy to trust him on that. There's nothing inherently wrong with stayin...

Re: Darlington V Sunderland

It does seem we are a bit underprepared for the season. Some of that has been unavoidable - it was simply bad luck that covid wiped out our first couple of weeks of preseason. However, Armstrong's gamble with transfers has left us short in some key areas. It may all still come together in the next w...

Re: Andrew Nelson

It's a gamble, but probably one worth taking. If he can stay fit and is still the same player as he was last time he was here, then he's too good for this level. There would be a concern in that Charman had a stop start season with injuries last season too - we'd need another striker in too. But if ...

Not particularly concerned about the result last night, playing a team from 2 divisions higher who are much further ahead in their presason preparations, but the repetitive nature of the goals is a bit concerning. With our truncated preparations, a slow start to the season looks pretty likely. We're...

Am I mistaken or did Charman agree a new contract earlier this summer too? I'm not complaining if this is a further extension, as from what I saw last season, if he can get a run of games for us he will be a very good player at this level
