Re: Southport V Darlington

Personally I would give Armstrong and Holloway another 10 or so games to move us up the table. If by then we are off the pace for a playoff challenge it may be time to consider a change. That would still give a new appointment some games to assess the current playing squad with a view to next season...

Re: Graeme Lee

I believe he was in for the Darlington manager’s job when we appointment Martin Gray in 2012. Thank goodness he didn’t succeed as we enjoyed our greatest ever era under Gray and Atkinson between 2012 and 2017. Not sure how Poolie fans will feel about the appointment as Lee and Nelson were excellent ...

Re: Southport V Darlington

At least it seems like a better effort than the league game so credit is due for that. We will have no option but to concentrate on the league now. However, we only have 1 more game between now and Boxing Day, unless we arrange one for Saturday 18th.

Team,
Griffiths Ellis Lawlor Hedley,
Rivers Purver Hatfield Lambert,

Re: Southport V Darlington

Whatever happens tonight can we please have a semi competent team of officials in charge. We have already had 3 red cards this season and not sure any of them were really justified, especially Charman’s at Southport in the league. Will be interesting to see what happens between him and their defende...

Re: Durham County Cup

Appears we were given a chance to resign before we were expelled for breaking the rules. Presumably Durham FA were playing fair with us because we realised that a mistake had been made and owned up. As long as a lesson is learned no major harm done.

See he is available for loan/ transfer from Spendymore could be useful cover until Cassidy is back.
Unfortunately Cassidy’s suspension could include our game against Spennymoor on Boxing Day and presumably they would refuse permission to play him as part of a loan deal.

Hope Cassidy is suspended for Tuesday night as it will be one chalked off with only 1 scheduled league game before Christmas.

Re: Darlo v Gloucester

The club are appealing for the person who threw liquid at a Gloucester player to come forward to explain their actions. I understand that the club have to investigate this if a complaint has been made, but really are the players of today so soft that this is a big deal. It looked to me like the pers...

Re: Boston V Darlington

Looking at the highlights I think we were unfortunate with the sending off in so much as their player committed a similarly poor tackle and only received a yellow card. He was fortunate as many referees would have taken the chance to even things up at that point. As for the goals we let in, it makes...

Re: Boston V Darlington

Have to say I am beginning to doubt whether Armstrong and Holloway have the tactical nouse to be successful at this level. You would think that a former striker and former defender would be an ideal mix in a management team but it doesn’t seem to be working. This is the third season they have had t...

Don’t expect any searching questions from Uncle Ray it is not his style. A fans forum where we could put AA on the spot would be interesting, because I think some of us are getting frustrated with how things are going.

Re: Boston V Darlington

Tough midweek trip away to Boston. But so was Brackley and we've proven we can go away midweek to tough places and play well (we'll ignore Southport as the opposite). Tough decision around team selection. Charman likely to be available again and I'd be tempted to bring him back in. He was bang in f...

Re: Darlo v Gloucester

Just watched the highlights and got to say it was a great strike for their first goal BUT!!! Does anyone else think Rivers ducked out the way of it🤔🤔. Yes great strike but really a free volley 15 yards from goal off a corner. Words fail me to describe the sheer ineptitude involved in allowing that ...

Campbell scored for 'Heid at Spenny today, so he is still doing us proud.
Tommy Miller looks nailed on to be the next managerial casualty.
Lucky that Solskjaer has just become available!
So has Steve Watson. Perhaps a tad more realistic even if Uncle Brad does have deep pockets.

Someone chucked a drink at a Gloucester player who was time wasting, the ref was nowhere near it. Re: Darlo v Gloucester

A proper old fashioned game of football for me. Reminded me a bit of Feethams in the 1970s/1980s. Two moderate teams a crap referee and plenty of aggro in the crowd towards the officials. Loved it.

I was very much in agreement with Ghost of1883 at the time over the players that left us in the summer and nothing since has changed my mind. A certain sense of satisfaction is what I'm feeling right now. Reid - Evostik player Watson - see Reid Liddle - over rated, good going forward but actually n...
