Re: Terry Mitchell - Take a bow
per cent. I’ll be honest I hadn’t heard of the fella before he joined, but from all accounts a really great tactician, and let’s hope he and SW are back in a Darlo dugout next season.

When Watson and Mitchell took over…
On December 31st - does anyone know how many points adrift we were then? I can’t find anything online. My memory seems to think 10 or 11 points but I could be mistaken.

Re: Blyth V Darlington
Blyth haven’t won in 10 now, their commentator called it ‘worse than relegation form’. I’ve never heard it put like that before as I don’t know what could get worse than relegation but but I’d fancy them to go down. Apparently Nobby Solano was sat with the Blyth directors at the game- perhaps their...

Decent listen that, thanks for sharing. Interesting how he mentions TM being the tactician. I’ll have to be honest I hadn’t heard of Terry before he joined us, but he’s clearly a top coach.

SW mentions Barrow fears he may have broken his arm- fingers crossed but we are looking v short in defence. Also talks about possibly getting another body in before Banbury but I’m not holding out much hope..

It is genuinely sad to see Nelson such a shadow of his former self. In his first spell he was electric, but genuine misfortune with injuries has ruined him. Living off a very good loan spell from around five years ago. Done very well to even be playing again after his injuries, but he’s not up to i...

1 I put that to Billy Heath yesterday just before they got their second goal (expletive, anti-football, expletive, cheating, expletive, blah, blah blah), and he told me "do you not think I've already heard this all a million times before?" before growling "winning! it's all about winning!" Fair do'...

Aye Clyde was a decent turn, sure he played up front with Alun for a while!
In terms of other Dutch former Darlo- Bobby Petta and Shelton Martis spring to mind- much better than Tom Kaak..!

I guess with Main costing an undisclosed fee and also the arrival
of Cornish that would be the 30 grand pretty much gone? Be nice if we could get one xtra in but think that might be pushing it now.

Slept on that, as little as I got. I’ve never felt so despondent. And I suppose therein lies the problem. How many of the players can you actually say care? Quitting like that is stuff you expect to see from poor under 14 sides. They are decently paid footballers, many without another job. Any sign...

It's a crucial four days coming up, season defining? Not quite, but important in shaping our destiny in the coming weeks? Absolutely as we have two difficult games to follow. We need a win, and we need it soon. I’d argue it could be season defining. Another defeat coupled with a meek performance, t...

This whole thread is a bit s*** I.M.O. This malaise we are in, I mean it's not new is it! I’m not writing anything startling here by stating that the malaise started at the beginning of the year when Beck and others left, but what stuck in my mind then, and still rankles me a bit now, is the follow...

I’ve always tried to not to knee jerk and have always backed DJ. But this is appalling. When AA did leave (and he had to go- we can debate when he should have another time) fan morale was rock bottom. Well if anything it’s even lower now. I know this is Football and fortunes can change quite quickly...

Anyone else getting 2009/10 vibes when Steve Staunton took over?! Both him and JG were appointed at around a similar time of the season, both have inherited a side at rock bottom, allegedly first team senior players have had their noses put out of joint and a raft of unknown, unproven youngsters hav...

Re: POLL: Mid-Season Boost the Budget?
Personally I would contribute to a mid season BTB- although I can totally understand why some would have reservations.
I reckon we could raise 30-40k- could potentially bring in a couple of new additions and be the difference to retaining our NLN status.

Re: Scarborough Fa Cup
I know it is a cliché, but we can now concentrate on the league, as we lose 1-2. In our position our first priority is to stay in the NLN. I know the money from a good FA Cup run would have been great, but staying up is far more important. A run in the cup would have brought in some much needed fun...

Whoever comes in it’s going to be difficult, budget is likely spent I doubt there are no new big commercial deals to be done so it’s going to down to commitment and man management, TBH I wouldn’t wish that on anyone but whoever takes the role let’s all get behind him/her. To be fair, from the away end yesterday their equaliser was excellent. A lot could have gone wrong from the recycled ball. It had to be hit at the perfect speed and glanced in at the perfect angle, and it was. The cross for their 2nd goal was delivered at real speed too. Better defences than ours w...

Re: Curzon crowd
I have a feeling that this season will go like 17-18. Seems like a manager and club going through the motions, like Gray after 'seat gate' and budget cuts. An opening day defeat, a thin squad and tough set of fixtures coming up doesn't bode well either. Wouldn't be overly surprised if AA is gone be...
