Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

Reynolds moved the same pipe at the Arena cost him £1m or near enough.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

Second best idea lots of land and council owned land around it, first choice however would be to go back to the Arena which is a proper Football stadium I know this has been discounted but things change. Don’t shoot me down and don’t want to start an argument on the Arena as it’s boring.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

Def think some banked standing at the way end would really help possibly something we can take with us if we move.
Have to get the RC onside though and that’s the hard job but people views do change.

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

Focus for now is to stay up and if we do can focus on IMO helpful questions raised by CC. As fan owned the only way we can move on is people through the gate, a potential cup run and more difficult more commercial revenue and sponsorship. Asking more BTB is more problematic as I think we have reache...

Re: 2022/23 FINANCIAL RESULTS

Financial results have been very similar over last 7/8 years bar a cup run or Covid help. This years finances will look even worse having to pay for Armstrong’s contract and no cup revenue. Not sure how we get out of it TBH except more through the gate on match days - be interesting to see crowd num...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

The only relevant point is this posters reasoning for the post. He's trying to stir up trouble. Fan owned is best scenario for our club at this present time . that should be all he needs.past DFCSG member.just what do you want. TBF I don’t know Lee that well but from what I’ve seen he’s not a troub...

Re: What's the point of fan ownership?

At first, I thought it was rather a long winded read from the usual suspects but reading it in full and seeing the guy was actually on the DFCSG board, I thought it was a very good read and raised some good relevant points. Like Darlopartisan it would be great if he rejoined the board as he obviousl...

Tin shed flicking light

It’s been flicking for months why can’t the RC or DFC sort it out, it’s a basic housekeeping thing.

Re: Reset

The issue I have with being relegated to the NPL isn’t so much playing at a lower standard, it’s the financial implications of being relegated: • We will lose £40k+ of central funding from the National League • x2 less home games = less revenue • Reduced away followings = less revenue • No National...

One thing I think we can all agree on is Watson MUST stay.

It's been a perfect storm of problems made worse by J.G. - it would seem he is the Liz Truss of Darlington football Club.
And who is Kwasi and Simon Clarke?

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll

Think we are going around in circles here. Ultimately, Armstrong is responsible for his failures, Gowling for his. Decision makers should be responsible for theirs. Tommy Wright - disaster Two year contract extension for AA - disaster Gowling - disaster We’ve then got the ‘dubious’. The stuff I won...

Re: Blood on hands/heads must roll

If we go down and it’s looking very likely now than any talk about a new stadium is nonsense, Blackwell will be quite adequate with lower crowds and far less away fans and reduced commercial revenue. We have a decent budget and going down probably one of the best budgets will see us favourites for ...

Re: Brackley v Darlington

Steve might be able to push us three places up the table, it's possible, but if we go down the ramifications could mean trouble. I'm thinking; Board resignations? Watson leaving? A possible attempted coup by Gray :o If we go down both boards need to take full responsibility for this and heads shoul...

Torrential rain tonight, I'd be very surprised if the game goes ahead. It's also forecasting winds in excess of 50mph around 9pm. I guess there will be a pitch inspection this afternoon before their fans travel. Also with the wind direction I doubt fans in the tinshed will be able to stay dry. I ho...

Re: JG sacked

Bearing in mind the club have come straight out and told us the length of Watson’s contract, I find it strange that J.G’s terms/contract details are still hush hush. I still feel that his dismissal might not be costing too much. On a month by month I’d heard so likely not to costly bearing in mind ...
