Re: Quaker TV

No doubt the League will demand clubs still do highlights, feel sorry for the guys who have produced a very professional product so far. Well yes. This is a league rule down to EvoStik level pre-pandemic. Filming games is actually an insurance requirement down to step 4. It is required for player t...

Streaming did a job while fans weren’t allowed in the ground. Now they are back, it feels the right decision.
Agree. I guess it applies to FA Cup and FA Trophy games as well?
Given it is an FA decision yes.

Re: Experienced centre half’s.

Perhaps Darlo are the one club who could rekindle Wheater's love for the game. Sad indictment of the game today that he ever lost it. This would explain why he seems to have gone off the radar. Maybe part time football would be better for him than the demands of the full time game. However if he ha...

Re: Experienced centre half’s.

A centre half or two away from being a good outfit, it’s a shame they seem to be as rare as hen’s teeth. It's tough isn't it. Players that are experienced, fit enough to keep going, want to keep going (motivated) and are able to drop their salary demands whilst potentially not picking up full time ...

Re: Experienced centre half’s.

Are we expecting that Beeden / Storey will be behind another CB in the pecking order?

No idea how much on our radar Jake Lawlor would have been. Has there been any indication he would drop out of EFL2 and out of full time football this season?

Yeah it’ll be open, but they close at kickoff and don’t re-open till bang on half time. I don’t understand why they don’t leave the bar open if people want a drink. Before/after or during the game. isnt there some daft ruling that you cant serve alcohol in view of the pitch while the match is in pr...

I'd hoped to go to this game, but a 1pm kickoff has made it impossible due to work. I wonder why they had made this a 1pm kickoff, instead of the usual 3pm time?
What time does the GP start? Could have something to do with it.
1PM Sunday is usual KO for Boro in PL2

Armstrong specifically calls him a foil. He's not being signed as a prolific goalscorer I think that is what Charman / Nelson are expected to bring.

What's Altrincham's budget like? They had a good go last year. Sure in their NLN season was about £700kish https://www.altrinchamfc.com/news/alty-finances-in-fine-fettle Actually just read into it would have been a lot less I guess revenue of £684k and a profit of £60k...is £624k. I remember during the infamous Fans Forum in July 2017 that MG said you need a budget of 400k to compete at the top full time. This could probably be upped to around 500k at least now. Short of raising 300k on BTB what are the options for getting this sort of budget? £400k? I am not sure that is ri...

Re: Liam Ravenhill

Well the highlights is a definite hint of how to score past us. CB are being blamed but from what I can make out the goals weren't necessarily scored by players who would expect CB to be picking up. The first was a late runner (CM?), the fourth came from a free header at the back post (RB). To me it...

Standout points for me... 1. Championship average wage to turnover ratio 107% 2. Recommendation to allow artificial surfaces in the football league 3. No new regulator with regard running leagues. Seems to be an entirely financial prudence regulator proposed. 4. Remove clubs from the boards of the l...

I know that it isn't allowed at National League level, due to the League's contract with BT Sport. I've seen that Altrincham are one of the clubs wanting this to change. I'm not sure if NLN and NLS clubs are bound by the same restrictions (though the League probably has a one-size-fits-all approach...

Was hoping to be challenging for a top 10 finish this season, no real indicators to me yet that we won't. Still a month to go and would expect signing in the next fortnight.

Just checked some recent scores and most FL teams are playing with c. 50% trialists still.

When we put the long lists together we didn't let personal views on players dictate who was included and who wasn't. To be fair, that it what the voting process does. If enough fans don't think that James was good enough, then he won't wind up in the final XI. Haha it was tongue in cheek don't worr...

Models aren't necessarily meant to come true, they are a trajectory based on assumptions on some variables. They have limitations and they are only validated once time elapses. They are only ever at point in time. They will then apply changes to see what the potential outcome is. The deniers seem to...
