Re: George Reynolds - Time to let it go

I think most Darlo fans have "let it go". It's the media that have this perpetual link between George Reynolds and Darlington football Club. It's just so easy for them to cobble together an article, and don't you just know it will always feature these words and phrases - "safecracker" "administratio...

Re: Integrity in the National League!!

Spen. To your first point - I see what you mean. To your second point I also see what you mean. I got the impression previously that the 17 clubs wanted an actual meeting, where grievances could be aired, people held to account and a vote, however I'm wondering if Ive's and co are just trying to eng...

Re: Integrity in the National League!!

The National League are experts in kicking the can down the road. We have Ollie Bayliss (the mole who just keeps on digging) still trying to get his hands on details about the infamous funding meeting - Here he is - taken from his Twitter page - "73 days ago I submitted a Freedom of Information Act ...

Perhaps Campbell got used to playing in front of no fans and wanted to continue to do so?

Re: Wheatley stays, Hunt and Saltmer released

With all these players leaving, Campbell has been the only surprise to me. We're having a bigger rebuild than I thought, and it seems a little strange coming from a season that we never saw.

Re: Boost the budget 2021

On the BBC Sport webpage there is an article about a "Fan Engagement Index" whereby all league clubs are rated in how they communicate and interact with their fans. Exeter are top, and their fans raised £100K for them - less than us :D Meanwhile Salford sit in the bottom 6, meaning Mr Neville doesn'...

Re: 6 players leave

Given how badly we performed in the league last season, we were a soft touch, then I happy to get some new blood. Maguire was a flop and also injured a lot - so I am surprised he has been offered a deal elsewhere, but it will be most likely be Shields or Spenny. Watson - is a shame as he was always...

Re: 6 players leave

Maguire - is the one I'm most disappointed to see leave after all of the chasing we did, all of the fanfare when he signed, and we never really got to see much of him due to injuries and a curtailed season. On previous reputation alone a big loss, but in reality it's 2 or 3 years since he did anyth...

Seem to remember he converted to a decent centre half who used to confuse the opposition with unorthodox clearances. They liked him at Boston.- when he went there.
He fitted right in at Boston. "HAVE IT"

Re: Appeal

I am sure they could still fine Man U because the allegation would be that Man U failed to provide a suitable, SAFE venue ( if saying game could not go ahead because of invasion) or alternatively for failing to control their fans. For example rule 12.2 would come into play if there was crowd troubl...

Re: Appeal

I agree with the principle of appealing but I'm slightly surprised we are bothering, although I'm not sure what the substance of a 'suspended points deduction' really entails. I don't think it means anything, it seems to be a punishment in name only. I suppose when next season kicks off. If there i...

Re: Poolies Feeling The Pinch

Having started a thread in favour of Pools (if you think its over) I want to endorse Quakersfan's view. You can't take it out on the club over Singh, maybe we should empathise a bit with their supporters and even Sunderland's over their promotion jitters, we know what it's like after all. I like to...

I get the impression some HUFC fans are a bit nervous - but what can they do?

I know they're sitting nicely at the top end of the league but I'd rather be in our position.

Re: Integrity in the National League!!

By my calculations 14 days have passed since the letter went in re the E.G.M. This is the communication started by Dorking and Maidstone and supported by seemingly 15 other clubs about no confidence in the National League board. A reply was expected within this period but Ives and co seem to draggin...

Re: Stick yer ESL up yer ass

To the original point that I made about points - West Ham are a "big club" So to repeat myself, the football authorities love dishing out points deductions, fines and stuff to lower level clubs but as soon as it is implied or suggested that Chelsea/Man Utd and other foreign owned big cheeses are to ...

Re: Stick yer ESL up yer ass

I don’t really enjoy Premier League football anymore. It’s just too sanitised for me. The pitches are always like bowling greens, the players in the main have lost their personalities, the football is spoilt by VAR. And I object about this latest thing about points deductions for the Big Six (The B...

Integrity in the National League!!

As more and more clubs have nothing to play for (as in they can't go up or down) then National League results will continue to become increasingly daft. Let's look at Wealdstone, players on Furlough and new ones brought in - last two results a 6 nil reverse to M'head and a 7/2 drubbing against Hartl...

This is the whole point though....

Out of the 17? 18 clubs? Are we saying that not one had one “just cause” - A couple of clubs have pleaded guilty and a couple more might not appeal, but even so.

D.J. Has put forward a number of “just causes” and he looks like he means business.

Re: It's time to go

17 clubs have signed the letter so it looks like an EGM will be held, whereby an awful lot of grievances will no doubt be aired. I reckon thee won't be enough votes to force the board out but there should be enough (maybe about a third) to make them want to step down, because to run an organisation ...

This really takes the biscuit  The first time he's spoken for about a year and it's to say he's going to split. Then we get some OTT propaganda about how amazing he is. At best, over the last year he's overseen a multitude of cockups - however some might say the dodgy handling of £11,000,...
