Not overly convinced about having Wheater, Lawlor and Emery as the three CBs for the season. Wheater won’t play 50+ games and it appears to be a big step up for Emery. Sukar can also cover but was a full back at Step 3 last season. Hopefully I get proved wrong but that’s potentially looking a bit t...

With regards to the pitch, in fairness to the groundsman, he has been working long hours on it. My job took me to three football grounds yesterday and blackwells pitch was by far the best. possibly a utility player who could play in defence or midfield would be ideal. Like Purver and Hedley? Suker can also cover centre half too. Defenders are easier to pick up on loan whereas if we have a bit of the budget left and a player like Sousa is available I'd rather we try for that type of p...

Slight deviation from topic, but according to the Hartlepool Mail, Gateshead manager Mike Williamson is attracting interest from Hartlepool and Barrow. I think that would come as quite a blow to Gateshead if he moved on at this critical point. Given how fantastic a job he has done at Gateshead, los...

Didn't we give a chance to Gary Twynham after he had spent some time locked up?
We did! Was in the days before social media really kicked in so people just accepted that people were allowed to make up for their mistakes and not have others constantly try and stop their rehabilitation.

Mitch Rose also has an ABH conviction from as early as 2021 for assaulting a man & woman (fracturing the woman’s cheekbone). I’m not convinced of the message which that would send if we signed him. Is there a point in someone’s life where they are allowed to do the job they are good at without some...

This is one reason why fans opinions on players count for very little. They spend too much time comparing them with players they see on the telly too much and forget what level we are at.
If we got rid of every player a fan thinks isn’t good enough we wouldn’t have much of a squad.

Wonder what is happening with Tyrone O’Neill. Is he injured or just out of favour? Likely to be released by Scunthorpe I would think, but would we be looking to sign him for next season? In regards to Cassidy, when he first came in people were saying he’s exactly what we have been missing for years, a decent target man who pulls defenders all over the place, just doesn’t have a good scoring record. Now since Charman left he’s being criticised for his lack of goals even though we all...

With respect, I’m going to disagree. “Guessed correctly” implies he had no idea where it was going and was fortunate enough to have gone the right way. It would suggest he didn’t know and made a lucky guess in diving to his left. What I’m saying is the keeper knew which way to dive because of the b...

The trip (which was on his back foot) happened outside the box. The foul was entirely outside the box and he then fell (dived :D) over into the area. Where was his front foot though? Plenty of parking, which is good as it's miles from anywhere Is the ground nice, or is it your typical Northern Prem ground? Lots of little stands cobbled together with a decent terrace behind both goals. A nice little club and always good to visit despite being a trek and a half from anywhere.

I thought the ref was ok, no worse than a lot we have had this season and hes certainly had worse games involving us.
