Re: Potential new signings
It's quite incredible that they were in the Peterborough and District League as recently as 2013.

Re: Potential new signings
They would have some ground issues to address first. The ground as it stands has a capacity of 2,300, including 266 covered seats. They have been rising rapidly through the leagues in recent years following investment on the playing side. According to their website they also have a backroom staff of...

Re: Potential new signings
Looking at some of the other clubs in our league, a couple have lost some key players. Kettering have lost several of their best performers and also had to change managers when Culverhouse walked away. Brackley have lost 3 of their top performers, including one to Boston, who have been recruiting st...

Another of our former players has just signed for Shildon. Wilson Kneeshaw has been playing in grassroots football. Seem to remember him having a fair bit of skill and pace before suffering a bad Achilles injury.

Just read that Hereford's player of the season Ben Pollock declined a new deal and is leaving. Can play centre midfiekd or defence and used to play for Synners in Northern League. Wonder where he's off to.

I reckon Williamson will be gone and he'll then take Langstaff with him. Langstaff first out of the exit door for £50k to Notts County. Some of the Heed fans having a dig at him for leaving when he said he would be staying. And they're not happy that he's gone to a club in the same league. But he's...

Maybe the police don't like the prospect of hundreds of Darlo fans with hours of drinking time before the game PLUS Whitby Beer Festival. Or maybe they just don't like the idea of hundreds of Darlo fans with hours of drinking time at the seaside full stop. Mind, come to think of it The Angel probabl...

Prior to this season Lowe had 15 goals in 67 games for Shields and at FC United he had a goal every 4 games. You could see he has an eye for goal by what he did in our game at Gateshead.

Re: Nathan Lowe
AA was definitely interested but Kiddie will have oddles of vibes from their cup exploits and I guess Lowe was also looking to stay full-time. Shame because I think he would have added some exrra physicality to the central midfield along with some goals which we don't have currently.

Re: Welcome Jassem Sukar
A tough, aggressive six-footer, effective at left-back and in central defence, sounds just the job. By all accounts he was very consistent in a Whitby side that went very close to the playoffs and also had some good experience under his belt before that. We're getting plenty of good business done ea...

Williamson is a big follower of the Japanese concept of Kaizen – or change for better – constantly seeking continuous improvement everyday.
If he pitches in with Singh and the Poolies he may also eventually be looking to follow the path to hara-kiri.

They've got themselves a good owner in the multi-millionaire businessman Allan Leighton who finances them to be consistently very competitive in this league. But they almost give the impression that the National League is a step too far after they reach the playoffs year after year. I'm sure the gro...

Where is the "less than 200 donors" figure from? That would equate to an average donation of around £700 each last year. I'm not saying it's wrong but I don't recall seeing that figure for the number of individual donors as opposed to the number of individual pledges which last year was over 700.

Re: Retained list
That would be a great signing for central midfield, something different to Moke, Rose. I think Lowe's based in Wigan and obviously he's been on a full-time deal at Shields. The player that the Shields fans seem most disappointed to see released is Danny Rose's brother Mitch. Sounds quite versatile i...

Re: Retained list
Cassidy a very strange one. Notwithstanding all the debate about his goal scoring record, the fact he played 39 games last season suggests he was one of the first names on the team sheet. Strange. Clearly AA has looked at the whole picture. That will include his lack of goals and whether that is li...

Great to get a goalscorer sorted early and hopefully he can continue his record after stepping up to a higher level. Interesting that AA mentions in his interview about talks with Lowe. That would also be a key signing for me and go a long way in replacing Hatfield. Fingers crossed. The squad is com...

It's probably a bit early to judge where it will end up. It's heading towards a third of the total after just a few days and there's always been a stampede on the run-in. Plenty more will be coming forward despite the hard times.
There were more than 700 investors last year.

Ruthless by Singh to sack Lee before the final game after they consolidated in the league, got to 4th round of the FA Cup and semi final of Papa Johns. Just 5 months as manager there. Also comes just days after a fundraising match there for the manager's wife's battle against a brain tumour. Great t...

I think it may be that a big, imposing, aggressive, box-to-box midfielder might also be required, preferrably one who also chips in with some goals.
