Re: Retained list
Only surprise for me is Cassidy as Alun has always praised him, the rest I am not surprised. With Ellis its his age. I see Tyrone O'Neill is still contracted to Scunthorpe next season, he might get a chance to play their now that they are in the National League.

Re: Kidderminster V Darlington
Go on MCFC - who do you think those ones are. Haha, Im not risking that, dont want to upset if they look on here. I will say I thought Lambert may be one of them as he didnt look right but think he was carrying an injury, he was struggling a few times second half. I would like him to stay if ...

Re: Bristol Rovers and Northampton today
I hadn't realised he'd gone there! Shame we didnt get any pennies. I watched the Gas at Eastville as a teenager, what a ground that was. Yeah Joey Barton must like him as he bought him over from Fleetwood with him. Fair play to Saunders, I had doubts he was going to be good enough for the National ...

Re: Farsley match thread
For me the striker is the key position to sort out and we need a goal scoring midfielder. Potentially Lowe could be that goal scoring midfielder as the lad likes to shoot (which I love). I would keep O'Neill as well as there is no doubt he has ability.

Re: BPA v Darlington
I do like the look of Lowe and I hope he signs, but the last few games have been concerning. Are we expecting a serious change in form next season? I hope Alun is ruthless at the end of the season with who he lets go, while I have no concerns with who have signed up for next season, some need to mov...

Re: Darlington V Brackley
Glad we won't be playing Brackley in the league next season, even if it was because their very loud gob-shite of a manager who alone made more noise than the Tin Shed. This verbal attack on every decision that went against them was taken up by their #7 & #9 who abused both ref & young lino with fou...

Re: The Top 12, Monday April 18th 2022
We need to win every game to get into the playoffs. Saturday is last chance saloon. Stranger things have happened. All's I care is that we go for the win on Saturday, the pressure will be on Brackley as they are going for 1st place.

Great for the fans to be involved in a playoff fight, there was a real danger a few months ago the season would just drift away into nothing.

Re: The Top 12, Tuesday April 5th 2022
7th is massively up for grabs here - York would need a significant decline with the games in hand, but that could also happen. One game at a time, a win would be massive as we are the team with momentum at the moment.

Signing of Moke was a master stroke. Lots of players out today so it was a massive win considering.

Another factor on him going I think is where we are in the League. If we were sitting pretty in the playoffs with a chance of going up I don't think he would have gone. I've just listened to the James Rowe (Fylde manager) after their win at Spenny, and he said he has tried to sign Will in the past ...

Re: Give Me A Ring
I've noticed this, he hasn't been given a start yet in the League. Seems very strange given the circumstances. If they weren't going to play him until next season he could have stayed with us for the rest of the season to get game time.

Re: Will Hatfield
Looks like his employer has been very flexible - I would imagine he will get 18-24 months at Flyde playing full time before he drops back to part time - makes complete sense to him as he will get the best of both worlds i.e. more money now, but going back to his employer full time after. Good luck t...

Re: York v Darlington
While I am jealous of York's stadium and the fact that they are a full time club - they are nearly 10.5 million in the red and owe 8.5million to McGill. I think I would prefer to be in our situation. McGill is running the football club at a loss each year, building up more and more debt (to himself)...

Re: York v Darlington
It was definitely off side a friend who is a York city fan was directly in line and doesn't know how the linesman allowed play to continue. He said the player was a good 5 yards offside if not more. He also said the score flattered York and a draw would have been a fairer result. Just seen the high...

Ideally we need one to replace Mondal for a few weeks - even if it is a young one on loan to go on the bench.

Re: Darlington V Chorley
Watched the highlights, and its very true that the first goal changed the game. Chorley had the better of the first 20 minutes - 2nd half we dominated and nullified anything they threw at us. Just shows how confidence is so important. Let's hope this run lasts as long as possible.

Re: Thompson
Love Thommo - but it was very clear in the last few months of his time with us he had started to decline, or maybe this league was beginning to become tougher and tougher. So I was very surprised when Spenny chucked a loads of money at him. Good luck to him.

Re: Fylde v Darlo
Alun out. Can't believe we only scored twice away from home at one of the league's top teams and failed to keep a clean sheet. He's not the man to take us forward for the next season. Lost the dressing room, I tell you. Lost the dressing room, he has. 9 wins in 28 league games. Is that good enough ...

Re: Fylde v Darlo
Imagine the Alun out brigade are getting ready for tonight. They will start to position it during the day with terms such as "we must win" "must win game" etc. In reality it's not a game we expect to win and is a bit of a free hit. It's not a must win game. I would expect us to lose away to Fylde i...

Re: Fylde v Darlo
We need to start winning games, pure and simple. Has Alun done enough to convince he is the right manager for next season....not for me. We have not even flirted with the playoffs this season, most of the signings have not been up to scratch lets face it. I would take a scrappy 1-0 win and then on t...
