Re: Durham County Cup

I was going off of the Twitter release from Esh Winning who indicated that we’d been thrown out. Naturally I didn’t check the website as I didn’t see a social media update about it till it was released early this morning. So chill ya beef. Ps: if a player was not registered, that means they were ine...

Re: Boston V Darlington

Only just got round to posting my summary from last night. What in the actual fuck was that 1st 10 minutes?!?! Absolutely obscene, never seen anything like it. Still disagree with the sending off, didn’t look like a straight red at all - a yellow at best, at least from the viewpoint of where we was ...

Hopefully we will have a repeat of the Brackley performance, where nobody including myself give us anything.

See you down there, and let’s make some noise. Up the Darlo.

How we didn’t win that game yesterday, I do not know. Dominated the game for 84 minutes and if Griffiths had buried that 1 on 1 at 2-0, it was game over. Just knew soon as they got that 1st goal, it was always ending up 2-2. Just come out of nowhere, nobody expected it. Shell shocked. Another note, ...

Chester Away

With a decent following expected to go down to Chester at the weekend, I’d advise people to buy online before the game. It was a right f*ck having to queue at the ticket office, then the turnstile in the FA Cup game. Just be easier to save yourselves time by getting it online if possible. https://ch...

Shows how mad footballs gone where a bloke has dropped down down a divsion into non league. Clearly money talks, snake! How is he a snake? Personally I would like to see any players (or anyone else) who are not jabbed taken to a secure area and allowed to die if they catch Covid. However, I suppose the woke brigade might find that a little extreme but as I am an old git I don’t care if some people disagree with me. I have seen some ou...

Can’t see us affording him, especially when we have the likes of Mondal, Purver etc sitting on the bench - they’ll be getting good wages.

No point bringing him someone else till we start offloading players that aren’t playing.

Good to see Nelson get some more game time, be great for us when he’s fully fit, can’t be to far off now  Hope you are correct about Nelson because if Charman keeps on scoring he will likely be moving on and we will need a fit Nelson to take over. We will be getting a hefty fee then as he’...

Thought we played some good stuff again, dominated possession. Just let down by a couple of lapses at the back.

How Rivers and Dos Santos missed those 2 sitters I don’t know. Dos Santos’s chance looked harder to miss.

Minor blip, fully expect us to be back at winning ways next weekend.

What a great, fun thread. I'm old school too and after watching Darlington since 1978 and Liverpool since the early 70s give me a cold night away at Wigan's Springfield Park. I recently sat in the Annie Road at Anfield watching the tourist fans making cut throat gestures at West Ham. I despair at t...

Re: Darlington v Hereford Saturday 9th October 2021

Purver isn't a RB, no, and Ben Hedley isn't a LB either - but didn't both of them do well when called upon? I disagree here, I like Purver as a player but on Saturday - you could tell that’s not his favoured position. Far too often he was caught exposed and most of their attacks come down that side...

Good team effort that, Taylor has a great game in the net.
We looked much weaker when Purver went to right back, was far to often they got down that side.
Charman and Cassidy once again
