Re: BTB - It's back

I think last years total raised was £134,725 and there was over 1000 investors. So to get nearly half the total from 245 investors is fantastic and it shows that many fans have to still make a contribution, including me. Wasn't it closer to 700ish investors? I may be wrong, it has been known, but I...

Re: BTB - It's back

I think at around this time last year, we were at £71k and we reached £135k, so it's going to take a massive effort to reach the £125k target. Hopefully the usual rush at the end will get us over the line.

I definitely don't want York to go up, we have few enough localish games as it is, we don't want to lose another one.

Re: Hybrid next season

We do need to a hybrid system sometime soon, whether now is the right time or not, is up too debate. But going forward we do need to move to a hybrid system, as a stepping stone to becoming full-time. If we remain part-time then we are always going to struggle to struggle to be competitive. Is that...

New Head Coach announced for Hull KR, Australian Willie Peters on a 3 year contract. Not sure what fans of Hull KR will make of someone with very little experience of coaching.

Re: Rugby League

You'll struggle to get a decent replacement for Tony Smith, especially if your CEO is pulling all the strings. Do you think Tony Smith will look for another job in RL or do you think he'll retire?

If you take any sides top 5 or 6 players out of their side and they won't look anywhere near as good. Hopefully Hull KR will become stronger and take that next step. Any idea who will be replacing Tony Smith?

Has to be Brackley, one of our longest trips and they will spend to get promoted if they don't go up this season.

Re: Rugby League

And so it proved, a pretty one sided game. The Wigan game was a thriller and we just got over the line. As I've said before Hull KR have a strong starting 13, but when they lose key players the replacements are not so strong. I'd expect Wigan to start as strong favorites to win the final. An amazing...

Massive games today in the Challenge Cup semi finals. I was hoping to go to Headingley, but unfortunately I have to work all day. I'll watch the games as live later on today. There is the prospect of a Wigan v Hull KR final.

Really stoked with this signing, I thought we wouldn't get him and he would go to a bigger club. Things are looking really promising for next season. Hopefully BTB will give the club a further boost. Very positive news.

Re: BTB - It's back

I had it confirmed today that my direct debit for BTB 21/22 will be taken out of my account on June 1st and any new pledge would start from early July. So any pledge made by direct debit for last season's BTB will have to renewed for BTB 22/23.

Has to be Tommy Taylor for me. Without him in goal, we'd be a lot further down the table.

Re: Farsley match thread

That was very underwhelming, typical end of season game. A draw was a fair result and if we'd pinched it at the end, it would have been unfair on Farsley. Thought Cassidy played well as centre back.

Re: BPA v Darlington

Average performance today, out crosses and in particular our corners were abysmal. I think we created more chances, but they had the better goal scoring opportunities. Tremendous save by Taylor near the end. I reckon around 200 Darlo fans made the trip.

Great win for Wigan tonight, as they win at bitter rivals Warrington. Seems like Hull KR are on a downward spiral as they get nilled by lowly Leeds.

No idea what happened with Hardaker and his sudden exit from Wigan. I'm surprised that Leeds have given him another chance, although I see his return against Hull KR has been delayed by a seizure. Hope he makes a full recovery.

I find it hard to believe that Banbury will be in the Conference North next season, as it will probably take longer to get there, than to London.

Re: The Top 12, Monday April 18th 2022

I think it is good for us that South Shields haven't got promoted, as I think they would have provided fierce competition for local players in the North East, as they could provide better wages for players than us. On the downside, a localish derby would have been good for finances and fans alike. I...

By the way, what a complete idiot that Nexus/Metro member of staff at the Monument on the way to the game. Talk about overkill holding up the metro for about 20 mins whilst police arrived at the scene. He should be charged with wasting police time.
