Re: Some questions about following Darlo in none league

Favourite moment following Darlo--- Whitby away winning promotion in front of a few thousand fans, we were 0-5 up after 15 minutes. Low point since 2012---Losing in the FA Trophy last year to i think Hornchurch. Are non-league cup competitions worth embracing---FA Cup or FA Trophy yes, as they can r...

Re: Rugby League

Good to see Wigan winning a third game on the bounce, I know it was only Wakefield, but they roundly thumped us a few weeks ago, so progress is being made. Great to see Hull KR are winning at the Catalan Dragons.`

Re: Darlo v Newcastle

It was a very encouraging performance, with some great individual displays. Thought Beeden at the back looked excellent, no idea where he is from or if we've signed him. I thought the scoreline didn't reflect the balance of the game & we count ourselves very unlucky to lose.

Re: Rugby League

Terrible news for RL and the World Cup competition. It's rather strange that the competition is being advertised on the radio, as though nothing has happened 7 it says that there are still 16 teams taking part. They need to scrap the competition. But what ever happens the big loser is RL.

It's not good that so many games are being postponed due to Covid seeming to be rife in some squads. Sign of things to come for the upcoming footie season.

Re: Rugby League

Wigan are like a London bus, you wait for ages for a win & then 2 come along together, haha. Yes it was only Huddersfield that we beat, but Rome wasn't built a day & you have to start somewhere.

Re: Newton Aycliffe V Darlington

I wonder if a team has ever started a season without playing a single pre-season game? We could be making history. Really tough on AA & his planning, how can you sign up players without at least seeing them in a semi competitive game?

Not a question of if, just when!! I see the Hull KR game against Hull was called off because of Covid infections.

We were poor, but we also showed some fighting spirit & after our recent run, a win is a win. At least for now we are back above Hull KR!!!

Re: Darlington V Tadcaster Albion - preseason friendly

I was going to go to this game, so a bit gutted. With the steep rise in Covid 19 cases, it is bound to affect football teams preparations for the new season. Hopefully the game at Newton Aycliffe game will get the go ahead on Friday evening.

A quality signing, perhaps Hull KR can look towards the top of the table. I'd imagine that Hull fans won't be too pleased with this news?

I think this is a good move by the club. The way women's football is developing, who knows what the future holds?

Re: Rugby League

Poor display, but the second half we showed a lot of fight, at times a bit too much fight! The first sin bin was ridiculous, the second one was fair enough. At least we drew the second half & at times we were down to 11 players. So a few positives & hopefully we can get back to winning ways against ...

Thanks very much for that, not many pre-season games have been arranged, I wonder if further friendlies will be organised at this late stage?

Re: Rugby League

Well we got duly hammered by Warrington & it doesn't get any easier as we face St.Helens away on Sunday. Unless something changes quickly we'll be struggling to get into the top 4 come the end of the season.

Re: Rugby League

Losing our top players for an international warm up game is not great, but obviously badly affected us on Thursday, as we get beat by lowly Wakefield. Our season is badly going off the rails, as we now lose three in a row.

You have to love predictive texts. I was working in poolie & my partner sent me a text asking how my day was going & I started to reply that I was in monkey & it automatically came up with hanger as a predicted word, haha.

Re: Rugby League

Clubs can stipulate that if one of their players goes to a foreign country & then returns to Britain, they have first option on him. Wigan have done this in the past & it also happens in football as well.

Fuck wishing them good luck.

Hope the get demolished in every single game they play and come straight back down.
Good to see Andy is talking sense. Hope they really struggle back in the FL. Just remember that we could still be in the same league as them in 2022/23, well we can all dream!!!
