All gone wrong at AFC Fylde too. Boston managed a 2-0 away win and also a lot of allegations flying over their manager James Rowe, ex- Chesterfield boss. Spoiled Will Hatfield's move.

If he’s not happy he’s welcome back here

Re: Retained list

Full retained list released. https://darlingtonfc.co.uk/news/quakers-announce-retained-list Good to see the option exercised on Lambert. But I didn't realise Mondal already had a contract for next year. It's largely the released list I expected to see: Brandon Taylor George Smith Joe Wheatley Lexus...

Re: Kidderminster V Darlington

I would assume Lambert is staying given his tweet today saying he’s looking forward to next season. I think he’s more than good enough for us. Given his age I’d hope he’ll develop further and become a real asset

Do we expect Nelson to be fit for the start of next season?
Nope. I think it’s the season after next he expects to be back. We need to look beyond Nelson, unfortunately. Undoubtedly he’s talented but too big an injury risk.

Re: Signings

Got to get a striker in, Jacob Hazel would be the one I’d be going for all round striker pace power strength and knows where the goal is. Whitby confirm they've rejected a bid from a National North club for him. No idea if it's us or not Not sure that will be from us. Perhaps more likely to be York...

Re: Lawlor signs 2 year deal

Bit of a confusing line in the article and AA’s interview. They say Lawlor is the third player signed up from the current squad. But even if we take out Moke (who the club haven’t announced but DFCSG chair Chris Stockdale has confirmed is signed for 22/23), surely Lawlor is the 4th, after Taylor, W...

Re: The Top 12, Monday April 18th 2022

The fundamental issue is there are more football clubs in the “South” than the “North”, mainly because more people live in the South than the North. Look at the Step 5 (Northern League level) divisions this season. There’s three divisions for the whole of the North East, Yorkshire and North West, b...

Re: Signings

I do hope Hazel is in consideration, even if there is a price tag to negotiate. Scoring 25 goals (nearly half of Whitby’s league goals) in a division with not to much difference in quality to ours, for a team in the upper mid table warrants investigation. I understand he isn’t one to place on the pr...

Re: Signings

Thing with Cassidy is, it shouldn’t come as a great surprise he’s not a goalscorer. He never has been so we weren’t signing him for his goalscoring record. We signed him because we needed more of a presence up front. In the previous two seasons, we were crying out for that type of forward, a physic...

I don't, and never have got this, "the arena is a black hole that costs a fortune to upkeep". I am not saying let's go back as I did not particularly like the place. ( I don't like ANY modern "fishbowl" ground), but the FACT is that after it was built the "upkeep" for the cheap metal used was going...

had that money gone into the squad and Feethams we could easily be a League 1, lower end Championship team now Had the money been spent it would have got us there whilst the money was being spent. Once the Reynolds money dried up, if it was ever really there, you are reliant on what the population ...

3. West Auckland
4. Shildon
5. Salford
Literally none of them

I thought, as a club, we could not afford to get promoted this season. So why has there been all this talk recently on this? I'm not having any of this! He was offside, no amount of examples will convince me otherwise! The York player was actually running back towards his own goal and when the camera does focus on him he's at least 7/8 yards in behind. I was once a qualified referee myself and the youngest in the country...

Can't see it personally.
