Re: 6 players leave

Here’s my throw random footballers in the mix to see if darlo might have a gander at. GK-Sam Russell, Zach Hemming, Sol Brynn, Jake Turner. Defenders-David Wheater, Aaron Cunningham, Williams Kokolo, Nathan Lowe, Jordan Hunter, Kieran Weledji Midfielders-Robert Briggs, Josh Macdonald, Nicky Feather...

Re: 6 players leave

Apparently we had offers in for both Gillies and Buddle, but turned us down for Blyth.. Could understand Buddle but if you read the Spenny post about him leaving, he has work commitments that might mean he misses games or training. Can’t see why we’d be in for Gillies as we have better already here...

Re: 6 players leave

In Liddle's interview, he spoke about his job (more responsibility) and recently moving home being a factor in returning to Blyth. Fair enough from our point of view. Watson & Reid are far more likely to play for Blyth. Buddle wasn't first choice at Spenny. To be fair to Blyth they sound like a dece...

Sure AA will have loads of players lined up. Minter might be a consideration as he is 3rd choice at Harrogate. Noticed their 2nd choice keeper was back for the trophy final

4 in at Blyth today, 4 due tomorrow. Could be Atkinson, Reid, Watson etc. Makes sense if they are from up there

Re: 6 players leave

Some serious “I never fancied her anyway” vibes from a couple on this thread. Campbell and Maguire leaving is a blow. Campbell for my money was our best player in the last two seasons, and if I’m honest, better than the NLN. Maguire meanwhile is proven scorer at this level. Had injury issues no dou...

If this is the list of players going to other clubs, then does that mean that we still have further players who will be released?

Re: Solihull management depart

I think their owners expected better after financing a full-time, professional squad of 28 players, including the likes of Adam Rooney. Incidentally Justin Donawa doesn't seem to feature a great deal. I expected him to thrive in the league above us. Yes I've tried to check the teamsheet on twitter ...

Re: Luke Charman

It would be great if AA could work his magic and get Tyrone back in until the end of the season if it’s played of course. Hopefully Luke will recover quickly , he was looking really sharp yesterday. Doubt it'll matter, but working on the basis that it does, then Tyrone only had 1 good game in his s...

Re: Elsewhere in NLN

I've seen a clip of the 'assault'. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as it was made out, but the player was still out of order. Ref seemed to have his finger pointing in the players chest and the player half punched half pushed the refs hand away.

Still very stupid from the player.

Re: Home Kit Vote

I would suggest the club are trying to encourage people to become owners, which at something like £2 a month is next to nowt. Gramps has made a fair point that the majority might want hoops, but the majority might not. What I do know is that you can't please everyone. Seen a few negative opinions (w...

Re: Farsley coverage

Good to see more numbers available for the squad tonight. Liddle and Atkinson available again after work commitments and Holness fit enough to be in the squad albeit he hasn't trained/played since Spennymoor on boxing day. Big question will be whether you play/risk Holness from the start. For me, I...

Re: New kit manufacturer

I was given the option to look at the away strip last year and the options were very limited and there was not much room to change the designs already there. This gives more room for the club to play around with the design a lot more. I think that's one of the main reasons and I completely agree wit...

Re: Minter recalled by Harrogate

As I alluded too on the Minter thread, I was surprised that Harrogate hadn't recalled Minter as they have been struggling at the back & conceding plenty of goals. I was expecting his stay with us to be only short term. Good luck Melvin, hope you can get & keep the goalies shirt at Harrogate. He's t...

Re: Darlo v AFC Telford

Thought we were generally poor yesterday and not at our best. But a win is a win and it was good to see AA change the side around and give O'neill and Maguire a run out. I know Charman got injured in the warm up so Maguire came in. I thought Ty didn't have the best of games, but believe that if we ...

Re: Darlo v AFC Telford

I think some are giving O’Neill a bit of a east ride. If it was Reid they’d be right on him. It looked like we started with the 4-2-3-1 formation with ty the middle of the 3. He’s played there before when we had Campbell up top, but both did interchange a lot. Not seen anything from him yet and does...

Re: Darlo v AFC Telford

Time for a bit of redemption for the lads today against Telford. Was a weak way to lose last time out shipping some sloppy goals due to poor defending, I'm sure Laing will want to prove a point after a tough first game back against them. Need to make sure we keep Dom Mchale quiet, along with the CF...

Re: City of Liverpool FC

Job well done and some more minutes in the players legs. Just wish we could be a bit more of a threat at corners. I don't think we ever have been since Galbraith left. I thought Rivers had a good game. I thought Rivers played well too and he would have been my MOM with more crossing ability and end...

I see you guys went for the full 48 hours argument as opposed to the cheaper 24 hours I left the building at 2.34 ;) Thank God we will have a game to discuss later. I'd be amazed if Gray was even a consideration. He'll see how Tommy Miller does in the next couple of games while he touts around for potential managers. Wouldn't be surprised to see a shock contender for it. And as someone mentioned 'multi million point investment'...wonder if there's still potenti...

Re: Away to Bristol rovers

First penalty was clear as day. I thought the second was a little soft, but can see why it was given. Two experienced players should really have known better - there was no need for either. Indications of how much the focus had gone in that middle third of the game. This was exactly my thoughts. On...
