Re: Spennymoor V Darlington
I’d like to think we wouldn’t be as embarrassing as that under the circumstances you’ve just presented. At no point would I think we had a rivalry with either of those clubs and yet Spenny treat our fixture like it’s a derby rooted in decades of history. On an unrelated note, the song involving the...

Twice he was booked, I only know because it was mentioned on either talksport of 5live.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 10:47 amCorrect, in any walk of life some people just stand out.
Serious question, does anyone know how many times Bobby got booked, if indeed he did? Can’t remember him ever getting sent off.

That arsehole Clive Brown will be seething! Sorry, but who the hell is Clive Brown He’s a Boro fan who trolls the club on Facebook. Yes, sorry, I just assumed everyone would know who he is. But trust me, he's an arsehole. I nearly risked a ban the other day because I’m that sick of him. He’s a tit ...

That is exactly right, well done for making a contribution, although with your background I would have thought you might have had a big package to insert 😂 😂 I’ll just add I did make the us...

I was told in no uncertain terms that I was wrong when I suggested Nelson was at training on another thread. Of course I may be wrong but my source is a reputable one. Mind l was told he was at training they did not say he took part in training which is slightly different. Another name mentioned wa...

Saltmer 4: Made some tidy stops, looked a bit nervous with the ball at his feet. Wasn’t at fault for the first goal in my opinion. Will get some unfair stick on here and other platforms. McMahon 4: Didn’t look too bad, could of done better with one of the goals. Penalty he conceded was harsh. Hunt 5...

Judging by the map after signing it looks like we haven’t had that many from the area signing.

We have some petulant fans. Do they want consulting when a player goes for a s***? They want to know the ins and outs of a fart and it’s EMBARRASSING. Just because you put a few quid in it doesn’t give you the right to know everything, if you want to get more involved then put yourself forward!

Worst Player: Noel Whelan takes some beating in this category! Worst Goalkeeper: Bertrand Bossu was absolutely useless and howler prone in his short time with us. Worst Debut (compared to other performances): Anthony Griffith had a nightmare at Stockport in a 5-2 defeat in one of the Dave Penney se...

Two words..."Tin" and "Pot" we are Darlington football club. We've been on some amazing journeys, some not so. One thing that gripes me, lack of respect from the rugby club. It's a fuckin sign, make us feel welcome! To be honest I hate the place. I hate it too and hate the rugby club too as I know ...

I still don't really grasp the concept of it all, or how this is going to bring anything useful. What other sports are going to be played here, in this village exactly, if the football club and cricket club aren't involved? I'm, quite frankly, surprised the council have underwritten this loan. Ther...

Re: Sporting Village
Just going to put this out there. What if the rugby clubs merged to make this more feasible and DRFC wanted to sell BM to help fund this? Darlington is in County Durham, it is the largest settlement in County Durham as well while we go off topic. Saying it isn’t is like saying York isn’t in North Yorkshire because they also have a Unitary Authority. Also let’s hope this new GK is announced soon!

So that’s £16 to sit down? Rather steep for this level, not that it effects me with my boycott of anything the rugby club could benefit from (I give money to the club in other ways before someone brings that up). Why would the rugby club benefit from the gate money? The Rugby club benefit financial...
