Re: Quaker TV

Bit of light relief from all the comfusing serious stuff. When you see TV adverts which involve people - usually towards the younger end of the age spectrum - watching football on TV, they are oftn shown wearing their club shirts. Does anyone 'dress up' to watch Darlo games on Quaker TV or other cl...

Look at these 2021/22 Super 50/50 Draw stats so far this season! 👏👏👏 https://twitter.com/DarloFCSG/status/1452253502265348101 During 2019/20 we were tracking cash prize pots at between £700 and £900 per home game. Biggest win was £909 that season. Average this season is £18 off a grand... 😯 Super 5...

Re: Southport...

Gone as far as we can being a fan owned club. Can think of a few foreign clubs that are fan owned & did quite well for a while. Barcelona & Bundesliga clubs have shown what can be achieved (but I will settle for a competitve team with spirit, playing in our own stadium within Darlington BC boundary...

Re: Darlington v Hereford Saturday 9th October 2021

Good point it probably was a factor. Hope the likely resurgence of Newcastle Utd won’t lead to more young fans being lured up the A1 to Geordieland. As with any club who is bought out by money bags owners, I'd urge the geordies to be careful what they wish for the grass isn't always greener. Bad en...

Re: Get Well Soon Alun

Sounds ominous. You don't get "rushed" into hospital for something that's not serious. All the best Alun, but sounds like it could be a while. :( Sounds like it could be a while based on what knowledge exactly? Had the club quote said "admitted to hospital", then I could have accepted precautionary...

Re: Shirt survey

Yeah, got it in my emails. Done and done. Obviously been a fair bit of moaning about the hoops. Generally, I agree we should be in hoops, but I really like the sash this year and to be fair to Joma, I think they've done a cracking job. I think the sash or the single hoop/band is a nice compromise f...

After the last two years, enthusiasm for ANY football, of any level is thoroughly understandable.
And you're clearly jumping for joy.

A cunning plan won't help. Baldric isn't tall enough for a CB   Perhaps one of the dustbins used in training may be enough, a wheelie bin would be more mobile of course. Either way, come on you Quakers & stuff BPA! Just been to the bookies, and got 8/1 about the wheelie bins winning 1-0 ...

Charman off injured in first half
I cannot get commentary but report on Club site says after going 2 nil down "Quakers responded by replacing Charman with Purver" so that suggests a tactical move?
The commentators said Charman just looked knackered, came back too soon from Covid

Time to move back to The Arena, at least you can get a pint anytime, stay dry and have a good view of the game. Also increased hospitality revenue available to peruse. Second Covid outbreak in the squad within a month. Either we’re incredibly unlucky, or something is going wrong with our protocols. These lads are part time, and have other jobs & contacts elsewhere. It only needs one to pick up the virus and pass it on at training or in car lifts etc. It may be pr...
