The article's obviously written by a complete prick. Whilst not completely incorrect, we are not whipping boys, unless 4 consectutive 1-0 defeats constitues whipping boy status.

Re: Darlo Article on BBC site

It's a very good piece in my opinion, nothing that comes as news to us but a decent in-depth look at a club that very nearly went to the wall, and quite well researched for the BBC. Gives the outsider a flavour of what's happened. Have to say though, it's not suprising that sympathy for the club is ...

I agree with a lot of Q's comments and disagree with a lot. On this occassion I think he is being harsh and more than a little trigger happy. I will try not to criticise anyone for having their own opinion, which is what makes a messageboard like this thrive, but how can we jump on the back of a man...

Fandy, you are correct, the players obviously don't care about the club and can't be arsed to even score a penalty.

Much the same as Chris Waddle, Stuart Pearce and Gareth Southgate in the semi finals of major championships, and Shevchenko in the champions League final.

Breedon, having spent many years travelling up and down the country and see mainly shite inept performances I know what you mean. However, a couple of seasons apart it is largely what we expect to see, which makes the occasional sneaky 1-0 win feel all the better. There is nothing more infuriating t...

Tunes Befitting Darlo's Current Position

Bit of light hearted Friday stuff. How about some songs that fit our beleagured position.

I'll start with Friday Night (and the gates are low) by Half Man Half Biscuit, ironically written about Tranmere when they were practically where we are now.

Re: Email sent FAO Raj singh re: Darlo Attendances

Quite well written, but I'm not sure why there is this huge hangup about the attendance. A few years ago 1800 was a pretty good crowd for a Saturday game, and 600 higher than the usual Tuesday night crowds. We are now back to that standard and will have to get used to it again. If Raj Singh took thi...

Yep, I was there, Supersub Robbie P and a mental away end. Any idea how many we had there that night? 3,000 or so? Remember the crowd was about 15k, but looked as sparse as the arena on Monday night.

To all you kids/teenagers etc on here, you're riding the crest of your adolescent wave at the moment. Little else other than Darlo matters in your life...

I agree with Quakerz, and believe you see a lot more from the TV screen than you do behind the goal. OK, if you sat in the South Stand you get a bit of a TV perspective, but from behind the goal you never really appreciate the borderline offsides and across the line running and I don't believe you s...

Re: Some ratings / report on the Aldershot game

Biggest surprise was with Rotherham's attendance - 10,254 were at The Don Valley yesterday with 120 from Accrington, where's the extra 7,000 come from all of a sudden? That crowd is wrong - the correct attendance was 3,254. Must have been some sort of PA error that was then replicated in various pl...

Aye, the Robbie Painter goal at Leeds is up there. As is the performance at Brentford 2 seasons ago, where we notched our first win in the smoke for donkeys. Also Gabbiadini taking the ball from centre circle to the back of the next straight from 2nd half kick off at Orient. Best for me has to be Sc...

that's excellent news. One of the genuinely nice men in football and not given a fair crack of the whip in my opinion. The 96 Wembley team was largely sold off/moved on and he had nothing to spend in return. From Gary Bannister to Danny Key and Steve Gaughan to Gary Innes, we had no chance. It was a...

I don't get it. 3 months ago the club was on the brink of extinction and all the talk was of whether we could ever support another/a reborn club. Then we were seemingly saved and appointed a new manager with some new backroom staff and barring a couple of players, an entirely brand new squad. But we...

I don't understand - I'm a smoker and can go 90mins without smoking, although I'm not sure where the harm would be in providing an outside area, apart from it being a logistical nightmare. Equally, I try to be as considerate a smoker as possible, and always did even when smoking was permitted in pub...

For being a player deemed too poor to play for the club. Because it's his fault he signed for Darlo and didn't stop and think he might be too s*** for the club before signing a pittance of a contract?

Ross Fisher's gotta have a cracking chance, if his missus keeps that baby in her pants. Didn't back him for that reason. Westwood is playing as well as he ever will, and I had a nibble ew at 25s a few weeks back. Also had £1 ew on Tom Watson at 10k-1, purely nostalgic but could have got 66-1 on him ...
