Wonder if our bus will manage to get that far or can we do a Spenny and cop out just when we have a crop of injuries? Could be useful!

Re: Burgess made available for transfer
Not a surprise, but I do hope that this might mean that our defensive injury crisis will soon be over and we can get back to having a settled team. Best wishes to Kev for the contribution he made in getting the club to where it is. Agreed. Hope he can make a full recovery and back to enjoying his g...

Re: Revised fundraising target
Would it help if those who are currently paying by DD (£1.67 a month) switch to pay off the whole sum immediately? I think this would be a payment of £23.33
I would be happy to do this if it helps to get somewhere closer to cover the shortfall.

Just to nip it in the bud my comments re social media weren't related to any kind of criticism - just the opposite in fact. There are a lot of good, knowledgable people out there with some great viewpoints and the clubs best interests at heart - those are the people we need to step up and define th...

Can't understand why FCUM was his debut, unless he was our 'secret' weapon to save our season. Now the covers are off, hope we see a lot more of him in the first team as he looks to be a real asset.

Cartman put in a great shift v FCUM, making space & telling passes. Worked well with Wheatley & Beck so will be a big miss v Shields, being cup-tied. At least he got the goal machine rolling but i don't think he deserved MotM. 2nd half was great improvement & should boost confidence. State of pitch ...

Re: Darlington FC V FC U Manchester
Missed Saved well in my opinion. Too often keepers aren't given fair credit for a good save. It wasn't a bad penalty. I just watched a clip on facebook and it was a poor penalty - very saveable. You had to be there to see the state of pitch in penalty box. Ref had to search before finding the pen s...

Re: FA CUP HOME v SOUTH SHIELDS
After the display against Leamington, would be a surprise if the crowd is over 2000. Only the faithful hardcore fans turned up, so 1200 Darlo and even a full 800 Sand-dancers would just make 2k. Perhaps if we win, it will be the turning point of our season

Re: Darlington FC V Leamington Match Thread
Geographically we are at a major disadvantage when it comes to getting quality players on loan, something most clubs seem to do. In the north west there are numerous clubs that are local, from Prem to L2, to choose from while we have a mere three. I'm sure that is how teams with smaller budgets tha...

Re: Darlington FC V Leamington Match Thread
I think our style of play is part of why crowds are dropping. While long ball style has been successful in the past it's not pretty to watch. We have got away with it so far because we have been winning the majority of our matches. Now we have been found out by more organised teams who do their res...

Re: Darlington FC V Leamington Match Thread
Only a couple of positives to take from this match (1) clean sheet - thanks mainly to Jack Vaulks contribution FROM THE BENCH - he really should be starting XI) & poor opposition. (2) more close passing along the ground & less lumping of long hopeful balls Negatives outweighed the positives with Por...

Re: £25K Needed in the next 3 weeks
The phrase "kicking the can down the road" springs to mind. Wish we could just do this, get it paid off and crack on. There is no 'fairy god-person' although fair play to the bloke who won the draw last week then immediately gave it back to the club. He typifies the true fans who are doing their bit...

Re: All Over the Place
You are going to have good and bad days and yes the standard of this league is pretty good, but what I feel isn't helping us is this continuing playing players out of position and playing players who are simply not good enough for this level, when you have better players sat on the bench. Spot on, ...

Will be glad to have him back in the squad! Carts gives us more options than the long lump to Beck. He keeps possession better than most & much higher work rate than others. Might not be in the starting XI but Carts can be a game changer coming off the bench. Just hope we can keep a clean sheet and ...
