Re: Darlington v Hereford
Best performance of the season by some way. Really liked how we didn't just to try and shut up shop. We looked for a second and we looked far more likely to score a second, than they looked to equalise. The defence was superb and TT didn't have much to do. Any neutral at the game would have thought ...

Re: Match off
Terrible decision, the pitch was fine. The Scunny players were having a kick in front of the clubhouse and the ball was running fine. I was talking in the bar to a bloke who had come up from Caterham in Surrey, felt really sorry for him and all the Scunny fans who had come up for the game. When it w...

Re: Darlington V Scunthorpe
Torrential rain tonight, I'd be very surprised if the game goes ahead. It's also forecasting winds in excess of 50mph around 9pm. I guess there will be a pitch inspection this afternoon before their fans travel. Also with the wind direction I doubt fans in the tinshed will be able to stay dry. I ho...

It'll be great to see you at a game old pal.don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:41 pmThanks for this. We've decided to make a rare trip to a home game v Hereford. I accidentally paid for 6 return tickets (I wanted 3) that were £12. I just couldn't remove them so now we're asking our mates to be glory hunters for a day!

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024
I see the usual late surge has started as btb reaches £23405, which is nearly 80% of the target. I still feel that the £30k target will be reached.

Re: v Tamworth
There was a bit of a fight in the second half, between some Darlo lads who had too much to drink and a small group of other fans. The Darlo fans assumed that this small group of fans were from Tamworth. I listened to what the small group was saying after the incident. It turned out that they support...

Re: v Tamworth
There was more fight in the bar, than on the pitch!! Thought we played some decent stuff, as others have said, but no luck in front of goal and we created very few real opportunities. Tamworth were very ordinary, but sometimes you just get the breaks.

Great news for Wigan fans, but bad news for the rest of the Super League, Jai Field has signed a new 4 year contract.

We go 1-0 down, static defence just watching the ball. Where have we heard that before?

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024
Total now £16,782 and looks to have stalled a little bit. I've just had a look at the Official website, and no mention of the BTB on the home page. Surely this being stickied on the home page for easy access is a minimum basic requirement when trying to raise 30 grand! Previous BTB fundraisers seem...

Re: New signing Cardo Siddik
Going back to the game on Boxing Day, I thought he looked really promising. Made a few really good runs forward as well. I thought he was our Man of the Match. He is a big lad, commanding in the air and very comfortable on the ball, and as you say Pete, likes to carry the ball forward. I am certain...

Re: Who next?
David Hodgson (Caretaker until the end of the season) with Will Hatfield as his assistant. We urgently need someone who will get all of Darlo FC (players & fans) rapidly motivated and supportive. Hodgy would be great, I agree that he'd have a fantastic effect on the team and fans. But I think even ...

I can't believe Q that you want Gray back, after the way he left the club. Armstrong and Gray are not the answer. I'm sure Will Hatfield could be persuaded to be an assistant to whoever is appointed, in a player coach role.

I can't believe people want Armstrong back. If this happens, I would seriously consider my support of Darlo. He is not the answer.

But it was the same for BS as for us. No doubt we'll win on Tuesday. Credit to the BS fans who make the long journey up when your botto...
