Re: Where the F--- Do We get These Officials From??????
I think our overall defending is hopeless and all the other team has to do is step on the gas a little and we look like capitulating. There seems to be a lot of standing off as people run at the box, the man marking is appalling and gaps open up alarmingly easily. Even if by some miracle we manage t...

Re: Takeover 'On Track'
So, I wonder how much will go straight into Raj's sky rocket (instead of to football in Darlington) the day Burn makes his first team debut?

Re: We're down by the way.
We won't win another match this season. We don't score enough goals and the back line is so brittle that any side we play (top, bottom or middle of the league) always seem capable of going up the other end and pinging one in from a corner, free-kick or a big punt. And that's even when we have put up...

Re: The two Raj clauses
Essentially he would only be able to get his slice of the potential action as a result of the hard work and cash of the fans in keeping the club going. And these are the very fans who were dropped into it from a great height the day we went into admin and left with our club on the brink. You couldn'...

Re: The two Raj clauses
If he wanted to ensure that he would not miss out on the potential stadium value at some stage in the future then he should have bought it. S and S made it clear they only wanted their money back.

Re: Our options as i see it.
I know it's been kid gloves for ages because everyone is scared of incurring wrath at a tricky time but didn't Raj say - in black and white - that he would waive any debts if there was to be a community-run club? Clue... the answer isn't no. I don't remember reading that debts would only be waived s...

It's awful to have to say it but we are now completely out of our depth in this league, just as we were when we plunged out of the Football League.

Re: Raj Singh Statement
It also seems that Raj's shadow continuing to hang over things is putting off business investment in a future community club. We can't move forward and it may be time to admit that if he continues to dig his heels in we just have to let it go and start afresh. Maybe this is the only realistic resolu...

Re: Raj Singh Statement
If agreement really can't be reached with Raj for whatever reason, the time is coming where we need to just admit defeat down that route, let it go and move on. He seemingly can't come to an agreement with 1883 and no agreement can be done with other potential investors who have come forward (they'v...

Re: Raj Singh Statement
It's becoming obvious that agreement isn't being reached with the main creditor over the debt. It looks like debt isn't going to be simply "written off" in the interests of setting up a community club and therefore there must now be an increasing danger that agreement won't be reached, with all the ...

Re: Lids family want him to quit on BBC site
The person who would be ideal to help Lidds is Tony Lee. He knows the non-league scene like the back of his hand, he'd be able to twist arms and get some of the non-league battlers that we are crying out for in this position AND this would be a way of getting round the obstacles that the Conference ...

Main has done really well for himself and there are a number of league clubs trying to get him on loan. Boro are not expecting him to stroll into the Championship and start scoring goals for fun and see him as one for the future who will be given time to progress in the right way. Boro obviously see...

It wouldn't surprise me if the RG hadn't already managed to secure a pledge of cash on the table from within the local business community. Re: Peter Barron Twitter latest
So, he would be happier with a venture capitalist with no ties to Darlington controlling the destiny of the club. I'm sure that while Mr Wildes was telling any passing TV cameras and radio stations about his grand plan, the RG were working away quietly in the background with their own plans. That wa...

Re: Deflated
It seems a bit strange that there is "deflation" over this proposal when no doubt people would have been elated if Wildes had been accepted. He was proposing to put in £300,000 with the supporters another £200,000. He said nothing of beyond that other than he would "maximise" use of the Arena to mak...

Re: Deflated
The positives: 1 The club is still alive. 2 Raj Singh seems to be waiving what the admin says he's owed and this appears to be the only option in which he'll do that. 3 There is a lot of goodwill towards the club and plenty of cash has been coming its way. 4 There is a passionate body of people dete...

Well it sure doesn't feel like we've cheated our way to success. Here we are out of the league, fighting relegation, on the edge of oblivion and desperately trying to save our club. They make it sound as if we have a rotten club that's bad to the core and rightly paying the price for cheating and be...

I see that Kettering had another great result yesterday but it's really strange how they haven't registered youth team players for their squad despite having active youth sections. Of the 14 they had on duty yesterday only three are teenagers and one of them is a loanee who has played a couple of ga...

Talking of strikers. I just wonder whether Lidds will try to get Curtis Main in on loan. Lidds always rated Main and I don't think he would have been released if the decision had been his. He's scored a shedload of goals for Boro reserves, seems rejuvenated and has just signed a new contract with th...

Re: Lidds & Wildes BBC Tees interviews
It didn't sound as though Kev Smith's party had moved very far down the line. No detailed talks yet and no offer on the table. Altho he did say the idea would be to stay at the Arena for now but then to move to another site. And it would be "all about the football."
