Sounds a bit like Armstrong may be going to use our vacancy as a bargaining tool to get what he wants from the Blyth board.
If so not the sort of person we want.

Fairly sure we have a home friendly against Fleetwood as part of the Harvey Saunders deal.

Re: Darlo -Diary .We need significant change.
With season ticket renewals apparently well down on last year (and BTB likely to be the same ) it is clear fans expect another season like the last if TW stays. Ultimately this will lead to a relegation level budget and less chance of staying up next time. While there is no guarantee a new manager w...

Re: Trotman extends contract
Seem to remember Heaton signing a new deal towards the end of last season. I think something similar will happen with Trotman and he will move on in the summer, hopefully for a sizeable fee.

Re: FANS NETCAFE -this Friday evening.
Perhaps the board have simply refused to discuss a contract extension until they know for certain which division we will be in. Just because a manager wants to know if his contract will be extended doesn’t mean it will happen - he needs to prove he deserves it first.

To get results you need players who are fit, organised and determined plus a manager who is tactically astute. Gateshead have, we don’t.

Re: Tommy Wright
Whilst I would really like TW to go now the problem is that we no longer have anyone left at the club who could take over until a new permanent manager is appointed. Catch 22, sack TW and end the season leaderless or keep him and, in reality, we still end the season leaderless.

Re: National League Stadia
At the AGM “soft soil” was mentioned as a factor but it could be overcome. There was also a suggested way that BM could be made up to FL standard despite the water pipe but it was a really messy, hitch-porch of a ground and meant demolition of both seats and tin shed and rebuilding to go further bac...

Good post Harry, some of those "fans" in the tin shed are an absolute disgrace, foul mouthed, abusive, negative, toxic....in short a total embarrassment to our club. You know who you are, for god's sake stay away. Re: ''Donation” scheme
I know this won’t help at the moment but could we raised the DFCSG renewal to £25 this year. It’s only a small rise but if all 1000 members renew it would give an extra £5000.

For me, if we are to stay at BM then we must renegotiate our deal with the rugby club, make it more of a partnership between the 2 clubs as opposed to landlord and tenant.

Re: AGM
According to DJ at the AGM a 4G pitch would be massive in terms of income generation but would only be allowed at BM. If we were to decide stay and develop BM could we not use the SV option as a means of negotiating a significantly better deal. Whilst I would prefer our own ground at the SV, I can’t...

Re: Hartlepool match confirmed at BM
Regardless of the lack of significance of the DCC a match against old rivals is a chance to get a good crowd and bring some much needed cash into the club. Why not treat the match as a fundraiser and make buying a ticket as your donation. You don’t have to actually go to the match if you don’t want ...

Re: Netcafe - 14 December 2018
One thing that is certain is that we will need BTB more than ever next season but if TW is still in charge we don’t have any chance of reaching half this years total let alone increasing it. Also, for 500 club and S.T holders who want to “ pay on the gate “ DON’T. Put your money in one of the bucket...

So where are these other 3 loan signings we were promised on Friday? Someone at the match Saturday said delayed until Monday but it is now Wednesday and still nothing.
Hope they haven’t taken one look at things and changed their minds because if we can’t get loan signings in we are truly done for.

Re: Darlington V Nuneaton
I’m sure JT and DJ are as worried about results as the rest of us and presumably there are reasons why they are sticking with TW. Maybe it would help if these reasons were explained to us because I don’t believe they genuinely expect TW to turn things round no matter what they say in public.

Re: Dave Syers gone
Syers was one of our better players but has spent most of this season either on the bench or, with a couple of exceptions, played out of position its hardly surprising he was unhappy and may have wanted away. For O’Hanlon the travel from Telford for training and home matches must be a nightmare for ...

Re: Vote of confidence
I think we long standing supporters have become so used to the recent good times that we have forgotten the endless seasons at Feethams when all there was to look forward to was a scrap against relegation/reelection, watching rubbish football and regarding a draw as a good result.

In reality the board aren’t going to come out and say he’s staying because we can’t afford to replace him at the moment. Just wonder if they will be as positive if we fail to beat Nuneaton in 2 weeks time.

Re: Resignation...
Whatever we do is going to be a gamble with no guarantee of success. Those who crunch the numbers need to work out what relegation could cost us and then decide if it is better to stick with TW or make a change and occur some new debt, something which hopefully they are already doing.

Re: Resignation...
It would appear DJ’s main aim is to get us debt free and, while I would love that to be the case, if the cost is relegation or the continuation of TW’s chaotic management then it is not a price worth paying. I would love TW to be a success but it is clear now it is not going to happen and we need to...

Re: Resignation...
It depends how much notice TW takes of any advice he’s given. AW may tell him what he thinks we should do but TW could well ignore him. And if we do sack TW who do we replace him with? Good managers are under contract and I doubt we can afford to pay compensation, even assuming they would come. Unem...

Re: Chorley (a) 10th Nov postponed
Problem with a home match on 10/11 is that it would give us 3 home games in a row, 4 if we get a home draw in the trophy. Non ST holders would probably pick and choose their matches and attendances could actually suffer because of this.

I would give TW a little more time though not convinced anything change. Hopefully DJ has already started sounding out possible replacements so that if/when TW has to be removed we will have someone lined up to take over rather than taking weeks advertising and interviewing.

It seems that as well as handing Stockport County 3 gift-wrapped points (as we normally do at BM) we also extended the hospitality to allowing some of their fans to watch the game for free. One of their fans wrote on their fans site: "My favourite feature of the ground was the way Darlington had do...

Re: Darlington V Alfreton Match Thread
Rather than getting rid of TW could we promote AW to joint manager rather than assistant. AW is far more tactically savvy and as an equal could hopefully have more say in what tactics we use. In his interview post Ashton he knew what was needed to sort out our defence but at the moment doesn't have ...

It was clear in pre season that Hughes does have the ability but when the season started and the match tempo quickened he struggled. I wonder if a short loan spell playing regularly at a lower level would improve both fitness and sharpness.

Re: TW tactics
What we are lacking is a holding midfielder who sits in front of the back four and gives them some extra protection in the way Turnbull did. Wheatley and Elliott both like to get forward, one of them needs to stay back when the other goes forward. Yes I agree, Wheatley and Elliott are too similar a...
