Cant see a loan myself. Watson more than capable, Galbraith can play there, or go three at the back as you say.

Elliott has been absolutely outstanding lately. If he keeps this up, he could be a long term solution.
Only if we're happy with 13th/14th place then, eh DarloFan97? :D

Re: O'Neill recalled

Noticed O'Neill went on after 70 minutes at Leeds but there was nothing of note in the report. The Boro dressing room must be a glum spot at the moment I'm sure it would be better for the lad back here and as they're likely to make big changes with their management team soon the club might let us h...

Re: O'Neill recalled

I think you've missed the point. Probably het up over some club with a rich benefactor. The original post said that, had we beaten Walsall in the replay, then BT might have changed one of the games they had already announced they were televising, or added us as another game to the schedule, if they ...

"That is true they did, but who knows they may well be able to change or add if they think there is enough interest"

The clamour across the nation for Darlington v Oxford to have been shown live would have been huge!

A lot of NL sides don't take Trophy that seriously. With Solihull pushing for promotion, they may well feel a weakened team.

Whereas at Pride Of, it's just spend, spend, spend on everything and fingers crossed that the individual who has chucked millions at it doesn't decide time's up. Thought someone would have to get Spenny in. As an aside, what do the fan's do other than cross their fingers if the owner throws funds i...

Re: The Squad FA Cup

Not sure whether Armstrong was being tongue in cheek. Some think he was. However, he's put the thought out there. I wonder if being live on TV might sway things. It's basically a shop window for our players now. No doubt scouts will be watching to see if they can pick up a bargain, and it could be ...

Maybe they think £10k is not an unreasonable fee for a goalkeeper who would guarantee you a play off spot a division higher than they are currently playing though?

He did leave two defender's for dead with a turn in the box in the first half, but fired into side netting. Didn't see a lot of the ball after that.

Re: Liam Connell - Boost the Budget

A reasonable fee is fuck all, for a 33 year old who is out of contract in 5 months. If Shields won't extend his loan, or let us sign him for nowt - then they can go and fuck themselves and we'll go back in for him at the end of the season. Obviously I'd like us to sign Connell, but to be fair Ellio...

Majority of FA Cup games these days see a below average crowd. Best bet for decent revenue is a draw and on the telly for the victorious replay. Would take a first time victory though.

If Whickham are paying him the same as he was on here, then the world has definitely gone mad. Having said that, who wouldn't take a lump sum payment if they could then get a job on the same money immediately afterwards? It's his last payday, he'll never move up again, and will likely not last long ...

You’ve answered your own question. We’re paying his wages, so it’s not unreasonable for the very least fans to want is for him to give his all for the club. As far as I’m aware, we’re not paying money to the 90,000 residents of Darlington, hence why he should feel more for the club. And there were ...

Re: Burn Gone

The reason he didn't play is the two managers he has had at Darlo didn't fancy him. He had a two year contract so had every right to stick around and be paid each week. He turned up for training when required by all accounts and done as requested, he just didn't convince either manager to play him....

Styche was mobile, ran the channels, had a trick or two, liked to run at defenders. Ainge could head a ball. Not similar at all.
