Re: Fans Forum
I don't think anything is that unattainable to make BM a decent place to improve the atmosphere for football. - A reasonably deep terrace covering 75% of the open end would be logical start. - If we got more money then building a purpose built new, bigger stand where the current seating is. Reposit...

Re: Fans Forum
I think part of the problem is that in the first 4 years after our demotion we won 3 promotions and it felt like we were really going places. Of course, we would eventually hit a bit of a brick wall and we have. The last 5 years have seen no further progress up the pyramid but I think some progress ...

Re: Fans Forum
I fully accept that I am something of a dinosaur, but I expect a football club to concentrate on playing football. When did the purpose of a football club become to do good in the local community? Don’t get me wrong I am happy to donate towards the Foodbank etc. but surely this is a side issue not ...

Re: Fans Forum
So are a lot of us - but I just think that there is possibly a lot more good that the club can do for the local community as a NLN club with an appropriate community engagement strategy than it can as a Football League business. So far the strongest argument that has existed for why the Football Le...

Re: Fans Forum
I think we need an update on the ground situation (even if there is no update) - we need the council onboard with the club over a new ground. We need one in, or close to the town centre. I know its pie in the sky, but every two weeks that would bring 2,000 people into the town which it what the tow...

Re: Telford V Darlington
Looking at Yorks scoreline so far tonight seems to show that sacking or changing a manager mid season and having a nice big full time budget, doesn’t always make a difference. Sometimes it’s better to stick with what you know for all his faults, the good stuff outweighs the bad with AA. In summary....

Re: Tonight’s games
3-0 now. York really are an embarrassment.
See Hartlepool beat Charlton on penalties and now just one game from Wembley. Maybe that will be enough to keep Singh interested. Although he soon lost interest in us after we won at Wembley.

The goals from Rochdale Res. V Bolton Res. are available to view on the Rochdale Website. Sorry I am not good enough with technology to post it on here. 3 goals and an assist a very impressive first impression for Dale supporters.

Re: Luke charman
Luke gets a hat trick for Rochdale Reserves in a 5-0 win over Bolton Reserves. Not a bad debut for the lad and should mean he will be pushing for a first team call up when his ban is up.

Re: Telford V Darlington
Agree with the above in regards to Saturday. I think AA has done a great job at turning the defence around this season, however our lack in some games of a killer instinct allows the opposition to work out we can at times be a bit toothless (without Charman) and go at us. If we score first we do ok...

Re: Telford V Darlington
Well over 36 hours after that shambles and I've let the emotion subside. For my two-penneth I would definitely stick with Alun - he clearly gets the club and the caution required with funds and the need to develop and sell on in a way many other managers might not. He's also shown he can get his te...

Re: Telford V Darlington
There is an obvious candidate. Someone who lives locally, not currently in management, loves our club and has a proven track record in NLN. Unfortunately he wouldn’t be acceptable to some of our fans, and certainly wouldn’t work under Armstrong. However, he would be able to sort out the defence and...

Re: Telford V Darlington
We all know that we have some decent footballers at the club, but for some reason our spirit and confidence is very brittle. Notice AA no longer refers to a great team spirit in the dressing room, wonder if all the changes in personnel have had an adverse effect. What is apparent is that scoring the...

Re: Telford V Darlington
Any manager within our means will either be someone untried at this level or someone else’s failure. Either way, it’s another gamble. For me I’d rather give AA at least the rest of the season to sort it out. Agree sticking with Alun is quite low risk. It wasn't like Tommy Wright where there was a g...

Re: Telford V Darlington
This situation reminds me of something similar that happened to TW after a really poor performance and defeat at home by a team near the bottom of the league. There were calls from the crowd for him to go and DJ was verbally abused by a section of fans. We don’t want him or other volunteers to exper...

Re: Telford V Darlington
It is very much the interview of a man who has reached the end of the road. He has absolutely done his best and I am sure everyone wanted him to succeed, but unfortunately it has not worked out. He is a man of integrity, but it sounds like he knows his time is up.

Re: Telford V Darlington
I think we need to be careful about singling out Wheatley for too much personal criticism. The lad has been through a really tough time in his personal life and we need to tread carefully with him. It is correct to say he has not been on top form this season but we know he can be a very decent playe...

Re: Telford V Darlington
Nothing to look forward to now. Time for a total rebuild It can only be that now. Start planning for next season...pretty sad when it's only January! The big question is who is going to be put in charge of the re-building for next season. Will DJ back AA and allow him a third attempt to...

Re: Telford V Darlington
To be honest I am not Armstrong’s biggest fan but I feel this one is more down to the players on the pitch. He has put out a team that should have been capable of winning this game and clearly the players have let him down.

Games against bottom of the league teams can be tough when they are scrapping for the points. Happily take a 1-0 win today.

Re: Jake Lawlor
I’m not saying it is guaranteed to end well at Poolie because Singh seems to have a self- destruct button. However at this moment in time I am envious of how well they are doing, especially the cup success. I would not be surprised to see them struggling in the League next season with Lee and Nelson...

Re: Jake Lawlor
No doubt Singh is not a man to have much trust in. However, if we were Poolie fans we might think differently. Fact 1. Under his leadership Hartlepool have regained their Football League status. Fact 2. They have progressed to the 1/4 finals of the EFL Cup and are 2 games from Wembley. Fact 3. They ...

Re: Jake Lawlor
Assume that both Lawlor and AA have sensibly agreed till the end of the season with a view to reviewing at the end of the season. If he's enjoying it and no other full time clubs come in then he'll stay. Don't think there's any question that he's a step above what we had at the start of the season....

Re: Jake Lawlor
Great to have Lawlor back. The slight disappointment is that he is only on a contract until the end of the season. Taylor, Ellis, Lawlor, Hatfield, Rose, Purver, Cassidy; we need to try and build the squad around these next season. A fully fit David Wheater would be a bonus. Agreed. I've seen enoug...
