Re: Whose car is this?
Didn't you ask him? Mind you I bumped into a lad in a poolie shirt in Liverpool the other day, tried to speak with him and he walked away looking terrified!! Could it be something to do with the fact you are 6ft 6ins or thereabouts? A Poolie fan in our Manor DBTS? I'll keep and eye out when I am in...

Re: Gaskell
I don't understand why Gaskell has split opinion? Yes he hit a bad run of form towards the end of the season, but he was also clearly carrying a knock. He was a major reason why we got promoted in my opinion. Glad to see he's signed a new contract. I am glad he has put pen to paper and has committe...

Re: Work at Blackwell Meadows
Not all bad news though. Another major sponsor to be announced, and the sun's shining. I can't see any bad news at all- a slight delay whilst finalities on funding bodies are sorted- nothing unusual about that. it was never envisaged Darlo would be starting season at Blackwell Meadows, so no harm d...

Re: Alan White
Good to see Darlo have now officially thanked Whitey for his contribution over the his various spells with us. As Tezza has said I am sure that off the field in those last few weeks of the season he played an important part. Good luck to him and Spenny even though they are clearly still our biggest ...

Re: Spenny signings
Armstrong said openly he left because he wanted more first team football, and he wasn't guaranteed that next season given how competitive our striking department is. Where and when did he say that? He said it to the club's official mouthpiece Craig Stoddart in the Northern Echo, published May 2nd: ...

ah, Mark Bell. Nice. http://darlingtonfootballclub.co.uk/mark-bell-returns-to-darlo/ Yep Bell. At Spenny play off final it was being discussed. Makes total sense in terms of reserve keeper and anything else Bell may do at the club. Agree makes total sense, I thought he was an excellent keeper, pres...

I thought it was a quite positive article despite the fact the writer made a number of very obvious statements about the past and the future. What's not to like about it apart from 4 numbers? Regards the headline were we "a successful Football League Club?"

Re: lewis nightingale Arran Wearmouth Jordan Watson
In previous seasons I guess three in would have meant three out in the other direction. I know we need a bigger squad with better quality players this year, just hope the playing budget is affordable. It's all gone a bit quiet on the Fans fundraising and what happens next hasn't it? (Maybe this is ...

Re: Current Squad and Contracts
if you take Gaskell's 2 hatricks out of the equation it means he made 23 starts for us and scored 8 goals. Add 9 sub appearances to that and he is hardly prolific is he? Am I being too harsh? Too harsh. I hate it when people use the "if you take x away from y, it just leaves z" argument to back up ...

Re: Current Squad and Contracts
Think Gaskell will be released if we sign who we are after. Why on earth would we release Gaskell?!? Nonsense. Because he lives & works over 2 hours away, is the wrong side of 30 & scored just once in the last 1/3 of the season. Not saying it would be the right or wrong decision but those are the f...

It's bollocks. See the official website: http://darlingtonfootballclub.co.uk/statement-from-darlington-manager-martin-gray/ Safe to say silly season is under way. Sad to see him leave, gave us something different to the rest of the strikers we have on the books. Two seasons two promotions quite an impressive feat. I wouldn't be surprised to see him leading Spennymoors forward line next season. Good luck for the future Army. Agree he offered us something diff...

Have I missed something? Have the Club asked the Fans for their nominations like last year yet? I know there was some activity on here a few weeks ago when we had about 8 games or so left, but don't recall seeing anything since.

Re: A whole new world next season
Am I being thick (I have been awake since 3am!) why does Conf. North table show 3 teams in the relegation zone and only 2 go up from our league? Is there some restructuring going on? If a Midlands-based side in the Southern Premier League (Redditch, Leamington and Kettering are in contention), they...
