Re: Asante
Johnson is known to be one of the biggest wind up merchants in non league football and yet his comments on the matter are being cited as "proof". Winding people up is literally what he spends 95% of his time doing he didn't lie, he just alluded to something which has been lapped up (exactly what he ...

Re: Asante
Put simply, why would he lie? There is no reason to whatsoever. Your 'tangent' was a history of lies and exaggerations by Johnson to provoke and / or protect his reputation. So why would he not. All he has done is his usual provocation. He's not actually said anything definitive he's said unbelieva...

Re: Banbury V Darlington
I'd say top half but guess that is difference between thinking 50 points should be enough and thinking we need 54 to stay up.
Both look equally unlikely unfortunately.

Meanwhile Jacob Hazel who Asante was meant to replace, scored both goals in Boston's win at Spennymoor. And he got both goals against S Shields as well.[emoji6] Sent from my SM-A145R using Tapatalk Haha if Hazel scores loads of goals for Boston against teams that are just above us in the table coul...

Just noted that the comments said board level - which you are absolutely right on.
In practical terms it will be down to the CEO to approve.

Re: Asante
Are you expecting the board to intervene in transfer decisions? Not sure I expect the board collectively to be signing off on every transfer or contract to be honest. That would be quite inefficient. There will be overarching agreement around budgets but I am not sure every transaction will need th...

Re: Darlington v Hereford
Agreed Spenny currently look like one of the teams 'to beat', along with Bishop Stortford , Gloucester and King's Lynn. Could be a little depressing, but is it time for Ginge to start predicting, this time at the wrong end of the table? It is going to be hard not to reflect on the result on 23rd De...

Re: Darlington v Hereford
Yesterday was great but lets not kid ourselves we still in a big hole, and it will take a massive turnaround to ensure survival. Looking at the League table, the clubs just above the relegation zone, Southport and Spennymoor both have 32 points from 28 and 27 games respectively. If they maintain th...

Re: Darlington v Hereford
Shame other results didn't quite go to plan today - Gloucester seem to be putting a run together so we might need to catch up with some other teams. Spennymoor are starting to get sucked in and their form seems to be horrible. We always had to catch up with Southport, Banbury and Rushall really. Ca...

Re: Boost The Budget January 2024
Our revenues without BtB were about the same.
There is some variance in rent but not that significant versus revenues and their staff salaries were more significant than ours.
Hard to look past our non playing staff being the outlier / big difference.

Torrential rain tonight, I'd be very surprised if the game goes ahead. It's also forecasting winds in excess of 50mph around 9pm. Of course we are not going to give in but let’s be realistic here, we probably need to win 10 out of 19 games. We don't need 30 points. We need 8 wins and then some draws along the way. Just as hard to see it happening mind, not sure we are able to be unbeaten never mind win. Can't help but feel we...

Re: Southport
To have a realistic chance, we probably need a minimum of 30 points from 20 games, 1.5 per game. In other words we need to start performing like South Shields have for example in first half of the season! Not sure I agree with this. I think at most we need 28. I suspect if we perform like Farsley /...
