i recognised the name put couldn't place him at any of his previous clubs! must be because in every version of footie manager he was somewhere different (...i can't be the only one who knows a lot of players history because of this game!)! I think I remember him at Rushden but that is about it reall...

Re: Portsmouth on the vergo of liquidation tonight
didnt that landlady win the right to show football matches in her pub with an illegal sat decoder. if that goes national in most pubs sky will lose a lot of revenue i think the best answer the that is 'sort of'. It was determined that the premier league couldn't copyright the actual match because i...

Hearts is interesting. Since Romanov took over he has been losing millions per annum and just been taking it, Hearts like many of us loved it at first they were getting good players in an were ALMOST competing with Rangers and Celtic, what would be interesting to establish is whether has this was a ...

the thing is I personally can't part with £1,200 (well certainly not upfront on top of my £900 i plan to invest of by the end of April) before we will hopefully be taken over...however from May 2012 - May 2013 I can probably budget for £100 per month to go to the club as long as it was just for a ye...

ok i am not sure if this is known or not...but i was told by a staff member of the newcastle reserves side that all but 2 of this Newcastle Reserves line up has been advised that they will not be retained past the end of this season, I think he said that Goalkeeper and Left Back were the only two no...

we would had to P/T if we were evostickin' it - and crowds of 1800 would sustain that level of football relatively easily I would imagine (without a proper eye over the figures it is impossible to say!)

that's not a bad shout if he wants to be in england...I still have a dream that Preecey will return for a final bow at some point but I don't think we could afford him, not enough to make him relocate anyhow. Our wages are going to be tight next season, i don't think we will be able to offer surplus...

I am suprised we could afford to bring in players who don't live locally. I thought we would still only be able to offer match fees to new players really £200-£250 sort of area, and trapesing up front Tamworth wouldn't be worth it.

good idea and has lead to me thinking - Mulheim & Amiens - do you reckon we could drum up any interest from there? Porritt's ability wasn't really the problem, it was that he just couldn't be arsed. That was sort of the point of my post...if the kid has the ability, i mean, look at him now Northern League with Stokesley, he is getting one last chance to prove himself and make a career as a footballer - if there...

Do you not think Liddle is aware of these, in his interviews he states he was on internet , phone etc. And most of these are signed up anyway Which team was it this season brought in players based on twitter recommendations from supporters? It's rare, I know, but gives us something to talk about an...

on what grounds is it illegal - if you can get shares as a bonus surely you can win it as a prize? The mechanics of it is that the money from the raffle tickets will be used to buy shares in the winners name. As long as it was defined that is what the raffle prize would be I can't see how it would b...

Absolute wild stab...i have just read up on him to make sure he is not permanent crocked and the reports suggest his ankle is as good as fixed...he clearly will have no fitness but could he have a goalscorers instinct...at 28 years old can he get himself back to conference standard - Dean Ashton. it is a little worrying that we need on average over £2,200 per day for the next 2 months just to get to the £500k mark. Although admittedly if I won I would probably just give the money to others to put the shares in their names.

that jamie chander shirt is very appealing...how do we track the bids if I want to bid on that item?
if i won that chandler shirt...i would want to donate it towards a memorablia collection that i still think we should house in the arena as an 'attraction'.

Re: Funderaising idea #2 Kids football club tournament
I echo the sentiments of the second poster here...i have been heavily involved in these tournaments for a long time and they do generate about £2k in total - this means a lot to the clubs that do them - how much it would mean to DFC is questionable. As has been said it is not only a VERY long day fo...
