Re: Southend gate receipts
Just seen Southend United club statement emerged on Tuesday evening, saying: “Ahead of the HMRC hearing on March 1, the Club can confirm the monies owed to HMRC, under the Petition, have been paid in full. “Funds as working capital have also been injected to help Southend United over the coming mon...

Re: Singh's started thinning down squad.
Not that I pay loads of attention, but it did seem their league position had improved since Curle came in, so this looks a strange decision from the outside. I see now that this is perhaps more down to Crawley, Gillingham and Harrogate all having a considerable number of games in hand. Lets hope th...

Isn't there a junction off Tornado Way leading to this area? https://www.google.com/maps/@54.5298928,-1.5301704,670m/data=!3m1!1e3 This is one of the sites I thought of before it was narrowed down to the current two. There is a junction there, but there isn't a road connected to it and there is a g...

Re: New faces
Anyway back to the original thread. AA mentioned having bids in for a couple of new players and hopefully some fresh faces in for Tuesday. Love a bit of transfer speculation, so does anyone have any thoughts on possible new signings. Both sensible and fanciful suggestions welcome. Niall Brookwell h...

Sorry but people saying we should not be selling simply do not know Darlo's history. We have ALWAYS sold players. Not just since 2012. ALWAYS. There is no other way for a club in the lower levels to exist. Agreed. I'm pretty certain that every club bar the top 10 in the Premiership, will have fans ...

Do you think a lot of the extra 1000 on boxing day were kids Lo? Because it's £11 entry for concessions and the rest would have been £15.

Just to clarify, I think Darlofan97 is referring to the deadline for registering players in the National League North (31st March). Whereas, I think super_les is referring to the EFL transfer window, which closes at the end of January.

Right of free speech? You don't have the freedom to abuse anyone else carrying out their job do you? If a waitress gets your order wrong, you don't shout at her to get her t**s out do you? According to Rob during the prize announcement at half-time yesterday, the Christmas Draw has raised around £4000 which is a fantastic effort, well done to Rob and every body who has helped. It depends what you mean by 'raised'. As Rob states in his message above, 4,000 tickets were sold. From this...

I don't think the Halifax match was at capacity because I distincly remember the Halifax fans were well spaced out because they hadn't sold their allocation.

You would just need foundations for the supports, no steps required. Ah, ok. I did not see the construction plans. Still ask do they count towards capacity if we are intending to move them as they obviously are not "permanent". Don't think I am being awkward about this. I just hate to think of the ...

Re: Gloucester City away 10/12/22
Salford City's stadium and Harrogate Town's stand are permanent, as is Darlo's seated stand. But they are all constructed in a form that, apart from their concrete bases, could be dismantled base, transported and re-erected at another location.

Ed Johns, have a look at Salford City's ground and the new terraced stand at Harrogate Town. All provided by 'Stadium Solutions'. All galvanised Steel, pre-fabricated, bolted together on site. Apart from the concrete bases, potentially the rest could be unbolted, transported and re-erected elsewhere...

49% means nothing if one person owns 51%. Correct. Shareholders don't run the Club. Shareholders appoint the Board of Directors to run the Club. So, if Henderson has 51%, he decides who runs the Club, including himself as Chair. The only effective power the York City Trust has is that they can bloc...

"BTB will almost certainly raise £130k", really??
Is Quakerlad keeping up with the current news and what the Chancellor's budget is going to bring over the next two years.

we still lack a Hatfield-type of midfielder who can win the ball & either drive at the opposing defence or split it with a forward pass. I think you're underestimating the contribution of Moke (who, if I'm not mistaken, was a direct replacement for Hatfield). Despite his slight frame, he frequently...

With Liddle not having a pre-season, he's going to need a bit of time to build up his fitness. So I would expect Rose to be a straight swap for Liddle today.

Good workout tonight. Totally dominated the 1st half and led 4-0 at halftime with goals from Mondal Hazel Lambert and Rivers. Second half was more disjointed with multiple substitutes and Aycliffe pulled 2 back, before a goal from substitute Marcus Maddison. Thought we looked good at times, especia...

I remember Gabbiadini's first appearance in a Darlo shirt at Billingham Town in a pre-season friendly. Oh great, sounds like another Brackley to contend with! On the other hand, straightforward trip by train or A1 down there, easier than Brackley. 110 spaces would be nowhere near enough for a 5000 capacity stadium Fleetwood have 6 car parking spaces in their club car park. Salford City have about 20. Accrington Stanley have 30. Stockport have about 90. Not sure any of their capacities are lower than 5000. What is more important is good publi...

Slight deviation from topic, but according to the Hartlepool Mail, Gateshead manager Mike Williamson is attracting interest from Hartlepool and Barrow. I think that would come as quite a blow to Gateshead if he moved on at this critical point.
