Comedy Night
Is anyone going to the comedy night at the Arena this coming Saturday? I quite fancy it but don't wanna go if it's going to me, the Mrs and a smattering of others. For anyone interested it's £15 and starts at 7pm - late. The comedians on are Matthew Osborn - English comedian of the year 2009, John G...

Master Football
Not sure if this has been mentioned but it seems as if both Darlo and the Hangers have been dropped from this years Northern Masters. We've been replaced by Rangers and Celtic. Pity, the last two have both been fun to go and watch. Teams included are: Newcastle – Sunderland – Middlesbrough – Celtic ...

Today
Weird sort of game today. We played quite good attacking football for the first 20-25 mins and Thomas looked very good on the wing. If our distribution had just been slightly better we could have had 2-3 very good chances, other than the goal. After that Burton pushed us back and we played very much...

Re: The big Gall decision.....
Keep him until January at least, as we are a little short on strikers. Take stock then and see if we can get anyone better, or if he's scored 10 goals, purely just to shut Quackerz up (yes I now it won't happen, there's more chance of Gall scoring 20 goals), keep him until the end of the season.

Nearly didn't make it today
How sick would I have been if I hadn't made it to the game today even though the wife tried her best to stop me. Taxi booked for 2.15 and it duly came. Went to lock the door and no bloody keys. Wife was out so I rang her, not only did she have her set but mine as well. So I sent the taxi away and sa...

Re: Player ratings
Cracking game today, apart for the first 10-15 minutes which is the time it took us to get going. Once we did we totally bossed the game. Everyone played there part today but have to give special praise to Gary Smith (yes his performance shocked me as well), Ian Miller, Moses Barnett and Jamie Devit...

Re: Brave in defeat.....???
Maybe some of the people slagging him off should actually attend the games. They might still think he's crap but might also see there's a lot worse in the team to be worried about. Cue a number of posters telling me it's not fair to have a go at them for not attending games because they know so much...

Re: Brave in defeat.....???
I have no idea why Gall is always the one singled out for abuse. Yes he's not scoring goals but whether people like it or not he's still one our best players. He's not just about work rate, although he puts more effort in than anyone else in the team p, he's probably the quickest player in the team,...

Main and Lumsden
Sorry if this is common knowledge but where is Lumsden? I'm assuming he's injured but can't seem to recall why or for how long. I try not to slag players off too much but Gary Smith isn't very good. Also what's wrong with Curtis Main? Obviously Dowsons got a bit of potential but he's had a good run ...

What happened with the drummer, why was he ejected? I was sat in the West stand and it looked from many miles away that the drummer was just trying to get a bit of atmosphere going.

Re: We are going out of the League quickly.....
At this point in time it doesn't look good, but only an absolute tool would say they would rather the club folded in February then get relegated. If you're Darlo till you die, then be just that, support the club whether we're in League 2 or the Conference.

At 1-1 I was fairly confident we could go on and win it. But why does it take 45 mins for us to wake up. If Todd can get them going at half time why can't he do it before the match starts.

Re: Sub standard ground
Don't get to many away matches but that is by far the worst ground I've ever been to. I know they have troubles but the area we were huddled in was nothing short of disgraceful. Think of the side corners at feethams, near the tin shed. Divide that area by 50 and that's about how much space we had.

Tonight
Just got back and have to agree with everyone else that tonight we were poor first half, got better second half but ultimately deserved to lose. The defence was shocking tonight. I've thought Plummer looked a half decent player, but tonight he had an absolute mare, he hardly won a header all night. ...

Re: Who's going to Accrington on Friday night?
Should be getting to my first away match this season.
For me we should always stay positive, if things go against us I won't be shouting for the managers head. Anyway, that's not going to happen, we're going to get our first win on Friday so everyone should try to make it if they can.

Good result regardless of what competition we were playing in. Any win after our start can only give the lads a boost.
I know it was a small attendance but well done to everyone who went tonight. I don't have any real excuse for not going apart from needing to look after the pennies.

Re: Ron Greener Suite
I just want to make it clear I'm not complaining and I'm sorry if it's come across like that. You're right the club are just emerging from a very deep hole and have to be granted a bit of leeway on and off the field at the moment. I'll admit I was a bit confused on Saturday and thought I could of be...

Re: 110%
Hmm. Here's a few thoughts. That was the first time I've seen Darlo this season so at least we scored and got a point. However, they might have given 110% but I thought our distribution was shite. The first half was one of the worst displays of football I've seen in ages. In fairness to Chandler, h...

Re: Ron Greener Suite
You're missing the point. I've been allowed entry without the pass for the other home matches. I wasn't allowed in today because I didn't know the passes were available. Was I supposed to ring the club every day to check if the passes were available? It's of no concern to me, I was just asking if ot...

Re: Darlo's Defence
He doesn't look too bad defensively but his distribution is very poor. Everytime he got the ball he just lumped it forward. He must have thought Thorpe was still playing today.

Ron Greener Suite
Anyone else get stopped from going into the Ron Greener suite at half time? I've been allowed in during all the home matches this season but I tried today, and although I have the correct season ticket, I was stopped from going in because I didn't have a pass. When I picked up my season ticket I was...

Re: Much improved and deserving of a point at least
Not sure where the comments about the lads not being up for the match today come from. It struck me right from the first minute they all seemed to be putting that extra bit of effort in (which they should be). Overall that was clearly the best match of the season. Although we didn't make loads of ch...

Re: Preperation for Saturdays game
Didn't Stuart Pearce make the England under 21s practice penalties over and over after they got beat 47-46 in the last but one Under 21 Tournament in Holland.
He seemed to think practicing them was fairly important.

Re: 4-3-3 on Saturday?
Agree with the Spyman. I actually think Thorpe isn't that bad a player but when he's on the pitch we only have one way of playing, lump the ball forward. Perm two of Windass, Dowson and Main and leave Thorpe on the bench. If things aren't going well he can always come on. The only problem with this ...
