Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Hopefully David Stockdale's donation will raise the publicity further. He is a fairly regular tweeter (and gets mentioned often) on Adrian Durham's TalkSport show at drive time

I've just come over from there. Heard about the difficulties at your team which is terrible. Made the most of us feel terrible about complaining about our manager so much when we were lucky to have the financial backing we do.darlobhoy wrote:http://www.a-love-supreme.com/roundup.htm
Potential further support from the Football family
Unfortunately I can't donate too much at this time but if things are still going on after the weekend I'll look to donate further.
Best of look for the weekend and the future. Never want to see a team go out of business.
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Thank you ever so much, it is appreciated.
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Finally got my accounts in order and chucked £15 in. It's not much against the total but it's what I can do for now.

How regularly is the totaliser updated? Just thrown in £20 myself
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
As and when Scott can do it, basically. It's probably WAY past £3.5k by now and might even have reached £4k.
In 24 hours.
Where are you lot when the server bill comes in?

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Is it possible for the team to play at another local ground for home games till the end of season, the RA or the Rugby Club?
Sorry about first post!
And congratulations with the money raised so far, tremendous effort!

No the club can't, because those grounds are not BSP graded.
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Finally got mine sorted earlier today too. Barely a scratch on the total like!

£50 in the pot from me (and others)
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
That post of yours has probably lead to far more being put in the pot. If you make yourself known at Barrow, I'll be one of those in the queue to buy you a pint.MKDarlo wrote:£50 in the pot from me (and others)

Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
Has there been any response from the club/manager/players about the magnificent efforts of your fans to raise money in these last couple of days??
Re: Fundraising for players / Echo pay for team coach
The players have been tweeting how appreciative they all are and how fantastic the fans are

Thats great. It's good that the players appreciate the fans, and that no matter what happens, however long they live that playing for Darlington should be more just a job for every single one of them from now on, if it wasn't already.quakersam wrote:The players have been tweeting how appreciative they all are and how fantastic the fans are
is there a list of the players' twitter accounts anywhere? it would be interesting to see their tweets towards the fans as this is somewhat of a unique situation you guys have created here.

Alun's promise to the fans: “I’ll make sure I’ll bring players in that are value for money and I want players that want to play for Darlington Football Club, want to progress and move up the league and show the fans that passion.”
