It just wasn't my night.
At the start of the evening me and my lad ended up at the wrong footie. Not sure what ground we ended up at, but I was charged £4 and my lad a £1. A few other Darlo fans had gone to the wrong ground until we realised our mistake. Got a quick refund and dashed down to Sunderland RCA, arriving just in time for kick-off. Had to leave a few minutes early, just as Dowson was brought on and the scoreline was still 0-1 to Darlo.
I thought I'd at least get a full-time report on the game on Spark FM, but because they had a reporter at the first ground we went too and the ref played at least 9 minutes of extra time, they only gave a quick final scoreline, with a promise of a full-time match report. By which time I'd driven outside the range of Spark FM, so missed the report as well. As I said it just wasn't my evening, but good result for the team.

Better than Darlo cockney, who was at the arena waiting for our match to kick off.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Quality Pete, absolute quality
Re: It just wasn't my night.
What surprises me most, or maybe it doesnt, is that anyone who went actually had the gall to ask for a refund.

Pete needs all the money he can get his hands on these days with having two families to pay for!shawry wrote:What surprises me most, or maybe it doesnt, is that anyone who went actually had the gall to ask for a refund.

Re: It just wasn't my night.
Very true Robbo. What surprised me was that Silksworth charged as much for me to get into there game as it cost to get into Sunderland RCA. £4 plus £1 for my kid at Silksworth & £5 with free entry for my lad into the RCA. Hope things run a bit more smoothly on Saturday up at Whitley Bay.loan_star wrote:Pete needs all the money he can get his hands on these days with having two families to pay for!shawry wrote:What surprises me most, or maybe it doesnt, is that anyone who went actually had the gall to ask for a refund.

Absolute classic. Sure you didn't end up at Ryhope CW, Pete? Don't think you'll manage that again unless you go well off track on Saturday

Re: It just wasn't my night.
No idea where I was to be honest. Lessons to be learnt from last night.
1) Don't leave it until 5 minutes before I needed to leave, to look up where to go.
2) When the other half says she'll wait an extra 15 minutes, so I can see the end of the game, don't take it upon myself to do the chivalrous thing and ignore what she'd told me.
3) Don't drive away from an away game so fast.

Don't tell me you got a speeding fine too, Pete? This was already a fantastic thread but it's just got better.

I don't understand why people are so surprised that a man who couldn't find the fecking moon couldn't find a football ground

Christ Pete, was gonna suggest meeting you in the last orders.
However with it being 100 yards from the ground theres not much chance of you finding it.
Lol.

I wasn't the only one that made the mistake, there was probably 10 Darlo fans in the ground.

Did I read that correctly?
A refund?
"Refund"? I doubt I've heard anything as egregious.
